Built as an opera house in 1936, the theater now hosts a number of performing groups.
This lovely barn is a special venue to enjoy theater or live music. The auditorium seats around 300 and there really isn't a bad seat. Visit the gallery behind the barn and enjoy this unique place.( Take bug spray or apply beforehand, there are gaps in the walls...)

We spent about an hour here and found the photos and descriptions very interesting. The history of Poland Springs Water is laid out and the old plant building is refurbished as a small museum. It's worth a visit!

This is a charming informal garden with paths weaving through richly planted, generally shaded beds. There are lawns too and a great collection of lilacs which must be great in their season. For local gardeners this acts as a valuable site from which to learn about suitable garden material. Garden team well informed and enthusiastic too.

Stayed at the hotel for my birthday on 1/19/18. The hotel just opened in November. We stayed in an executive king room for only $118.00. The room was very clean and we loved how spacious it was. The staff was super friendly and even called...MoreThank you for the WICKEDGOOD Feedback, Shawn S.! We appreciate the kind words :)

A lovely quiet spot with a good variety of books--many on Maine, especially the local area. I've purchased pretty cards here and a nice narrow-ruled journal that held up well over a long trip. A place that enhances the town by making current and classic books easily available--and fun gifts too.

We are a family run Sugar Bush. If you stop by you will be able to see the Maple Syrup process, Bee keeping, farm animals and more. We have a small gift shop that offers lots of variety. Examples of what we offer in the gift shop are: Syrup, Maple Candies, BBQ sauces, Maple Mustard, Honey, Pickles, Balsam products, Handmade jewelry as well as purses/bags, and other crafty items.
I saw a review for the Shuga Shak on line, and it had limited hours. One website said - if you stop by and we are not open just ring the bell and we will come on down. And they did! We were headed back to Baltimore, and stopped in at 10am (found that time on line), but they did not open until noon. We rang the bell and the owner came down. He told us great stores about how he started the business and about the different colors of maple syrup. This is a must see when in Poland Maine.

A "Must Do" outing to fully experience a classic New England winter pleasure. Beautiful, well cared for horses, sleigh complete with jingle bells, cozy blankets- and the most beautiful ride, beginning with mountain views then entering pine forests. We have done this trip twice and loved it both times. You can arrange to have a bonfire mid-way with hot chocolate & toasted marshmallows- very nice. Bill & Darcy, the owners and your drivers, are very friendly and knowledgeable. Their horse drawn sleigh ride is highly recommended!

Glorious distraction on a hot summer day. Water was nice temperature and when I swam out a bit farther a loon appeared right next to me! Good facilities, shady spots for picnics, lots of families with little kids. Super packed the day I went!
