This is a very unusual attraction. It is a garden railroad in the front yard of a home. It is there all year, but at the holidays it takes on a special glow. Six trains whiz by in amazing settings, and during the holidays in December, special scenery is added to denote the time of year. And best of all, it is free! It is especially good to take small children. They are dazzled by the display.

This park has amazing walking trails both paved and dirt, a huge lake with a sandy shore, and neighborhood deer. There are several boat docks, although large motors are not allowed on the lake. You can rent bikes, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, etc. There are several restrooms and porta potties strategically placed around this park too. Frisbee golf is available along with a huge staircase great for getting your heart pumpin'. There are several entries and parking is ample although people do park in the grass during events and popular days in summer. Two children's play areas are located in the "upper" areas of the park along with an archery range and Go Ape treetop adventures. Wild life is abundabt and the fishing is great.

A unique new escape room adventure in St. Louis' famous Delmar Loop — named one of America's Top 10 streets! You have two adventures from which to choose and just 60 minutes to escape. Explore. Discover. Solve puzzles. Escape! Can you do it?
My daughter celebrated her Sweet 16th birthday with friends by escaping "The Oval-ish Office". The room was well planned out and challenging but not impossible. They had a great time and I loved hearing about how the game had a personalized element to it. We've done about 3 other escape rooms and this one was well worth it. Thank you to Brian for accommodating our group!

They grow many of their own vegetables and use local products when they can. They have been a real presence in the revitalization of the Maplewood community. We love dining outside on their patio in good weather. They have unique dining options-not just the usual bar fare.

U-City Foot Massage is a relaxing and professional spa with very low prices. You receive a discount card that gives you a free massage after every 10 massages which makes the place really great. I enjoyed the foot soak in hot water along with my massage. The hour-long massage was only $45 and was better than other massages I've received for $70+. Make sure to tip these nice people they work hard

It’s not in the dictionary, but if it was, Go Ape would be described as a ‘tree top adventure’. That means we build giant obstacle courses up in the trees using ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels made of wood, rope and super-strong wire, and top it all off with the world's best zip lines. We then equip people with harnesses, pulleys and carabiners, give them a 30 minute safety briefing and training and let them loose into the forest canopy, free to swing through the trees. Of course, instructors are always on hand, regularly patrolling the forests (not in monkey suits unfortunately!) The result is spectacular. The Go Ape experience gets the adrenalin pumping, gets people out of their comfort zones and above all (no pun intended), it’s just great fun.
I bought this adventure for my adult daughter and two grandsons not realizing it was more obstacle course than zip line. In fact there are only 5 zip lines which end each segment of tree top challenges . There has to be one adult for every two kids under 16, which is a good idea since basically there is no help while navigating in the tree tops.
Participants are given 30 minutes of instruction and handle all their own harness equipment after that, unlike other zip line venues, including the one I did at age 70 quite easily. Here, you need incredible balance, and nerve to step from one swinging small log to another, or to step from one swinging ring to another to cross. Luckily my daughter was up for the challenge of keeping up with her two boys, and they had the adventure of a lifetime. The staff was not seen wandering around in case help was needed, possibly because it was so cold? However each person is given an emergency whistle if needed. They all loved it, but all felt the strain on their muscles for a couple days.

The Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis, the superstructure of the Cathedral was built between 1907 and 1914. The Cathedral's 100th Anniversary is being celebrated in 2014. It is known for its' beautiful interior mosaics, which took nearly 80 years to create using more than 41 million pieces of glass tesserae. The Cathedral is known for having one of the largest mosaic collections in the Western Hemisphere.
Beautiful architecture!!! If you like Catholic Churches and appreciate art work this is the place to see. Hard to imagine the amount of money the have in it.

I had won a Private Olive Oil tasting for 8 people, so invited some friends to join us. It was a fun and interesting experience, they provided some appetizers and explained about the Olive Oil as we tasted. We purchased some wine to enjoy while we did the tasting. As well as Olive oils, they sell balsamic vinigars, mustards and many other things. At the end of the tasting we purchased some lovely Olive oil and other foods. We really enjoyed our hour and half there.

The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis was founded in 1859 by Henry Shaw. Today, the Garden is a National Historic Landmark and a center for science, conservation, education and horticultural display - widely considered one of the top three botanical gardens in the world. It features 79 acres of horticultural displays, including indoor conservatories and demonstration, formal and international gardens.
Unfortunately the Chihuli glass onion installation wasn’t there, but there there is still the entrance chandelier and a smaller flame lily installation in the climatron. The gardens are incredible. It was a cold day and we just hopped from the climatron to the houses and braved the open air in between. Such a fabulous way to spend a day

The site of the 1904 World's Fair, America's second largest urban park is a prime St. Louis recreation spot.
So much is here! The Saint Louis Art Museum, History Museum, The Planetarium and adjacent Science Center, The Muny (outdoor summer theater), two golf courses (9 and 18), bike path, ball parks, and the wonderful Zoo made famous by Marlin Perkins! There are bike rentals, paddle boats and food at the Boat House, great playgrounds and a lovely lagoon that anchored the 1904 World's Fair. Special events occur all year long so check local schedules. If you want to sit and watch or be the action, you can't go wrong in Forest Park. Did I mention that museums, the zoo, the and many activities are FREE?
This place deserves a rating of 5 WOWS. Start at the Visitors Center near the History Museum.
