The Bowerman family has been growing blueberries since 1954. The farm has already picked blueberries along with other local fresh produce. We offer u-pick blueberries in season mid-July through mid-August. We also make delicious blueberry donuts every morning. Our bakery also makes muffins, pies, crisps, coffee cakes, turnovers, homemade fudge and more. Everyone loves our fruit smoothies and soft serve ice cream. Open Sundays after the 4th of July through Labor Day. The store is open seasonally June through November each year. In the off season call to purchase frozen blueberries by appointment.
Just before Thanksgiving they had a pie tasting event. Wow... Talk about fantastic tasting pies. We have enjoyed their blueberries and now are hooked on their baked goods as well. You really need to try their blueberry donuts. Heavenly!

Abundance of fresh, local fruits and vegetables, local honey, pastries and breads, including several gluten and dairy/vegan free options (the blueberry gluten free donuts were amazing!). Several vendors had plants to sell. They also had food vendors / trucks. Prices comparable to what we expected. Live music and beautiful weather added to the enjoyment. Ample free parking nearby.

The park's 850 acres include a beach, dunes and cross-country ski trails.
Great place to bring the family and the dogs. Hiking the trails to the dunes wasn’t too tiring. Beautiful view of Lake Michigan on top of the dunes. The dogs had a ball playing in the sand and one put her feet in the water. Enjoyed it so much that we visited twice during our vacation. Can’t wait to go back!

Easy walk out the pier, can't really tour/get into the lighthouse itself. Great views back at the beach and lake. A must-do while in Grand Haven. Be careful if you try and scramble up the large boulders from the beach to the pier - they are slick!

This is a wonderful park with a playground and picnic area - and when you walk through the tunnel you discover that you are right near the beach front of Lake Michigan! There are steps down to the sandy beach and you will find lots of places to set down your blanket or chair and soak in the beautiful views.

I noticed this in my AAA tour book and after tulip sight-seeing, decided to give it a go. After a short walk through some wooded area you reach a large stair and boardwalk system. Stairs are numbers by ever 25th one, if you check the lower right side of the stairs...the numbers are faint so look closely. Thankfully, there are benches placed for weary climbers to rest a spell and look out over Lake Macatawa. The view of the sand dunes and Lake Michigan is worth the climb, along with the satisfaction of succeeding.

2021 begins with a continuation of our safety protocols from last season. Please bring a mask with you and review our Opening Plan on our website before visiting. We are very focused on the well-being of our co-workers and our guests. A visit to Nelis' Dutch Village is like a step back into the Netherlands of over 100 years ago on a day when a festival came to town. Watch old Dutch craft demonstrations and Dutch klompen dancers. Taste 22 kinds of Dutch cheeses, beautiful Dutch architecture and listen to the Golden Angel street organ. Includes unlimited rides on the Ferris wheel, carousel and Dutch chair swing ride. Unique shopping, Dutch cafe and pub, and fudge and ice cream.
Sweet place for locals and visitors, Dutch Village is family fun at its best! Even a melancholy teen will enjoy the water balloon battle staged on Dutch ‘ships’ and who doesn’t love a barnyard full of adorable critters?! Sneak in a history and geography lesson in the informative exhibits on life in the Netherlands ???????? and then let the kids repeat-ride the authentic carousel ???? Stroll the impressive garden lanes on the way to the Ferris wheel ???? or grab a Hudsonville ice cream cone and sit canalside. The entry fee is very reasonable, with the best deal a season pass if you’re totally smitten! The mini-village is based on those in the Netherlands and it’s a pleasant time and space travel, especially when you talk with Lydia at the Hungry Dutchman. If you’re nice, she’ll teach you a few Dutch phrases and pour an excellent local beer to accompany authentic cheeses from the Netherlands. My kids love their pea soup and pig-in-the-blankets when it’s chilly out. Lovely artisan Delft is handpainted and make wonderful Christmas gifts. Our family adores Dutch Village and I think you will too!

Windmill Island Gardens is home to de Zwaan windmill, the last mill allowed to be transported from the Netherlands. de Zwaan still functions by grinding locally-grown grain into flour that is sold to visitors and local businesses. A highlight of visiting is a tour of this historic working windmill. Visitors can enjoy music from our antique Dutch street organ given to the City of Holland by the City of Amsterdam after World War II. Children can also ride on our antique carousel from the Netherlands. There are several other replica Dutch buildings and shops. The Island is home to beautiful gardens which feature tulips in the spring followed by beautiful annuals and perennials throughout the summer. Please note that the Island will re-open for the 2019 season on Saturday, April 13. Last tickets sold at 5 pm.
Enjoyable experience! Dutch flags a-flying, a Dutch street organ (that is still played daily), a real Dutch Windmill (transported from the Netherlands in the 1960s), a bridge reminiscent of small town life, and streetscape (housing the gift shop). There were some pretty flowers with butterflies flitting about, and birds in the greenery, and ducks in the pond. Art is scattered throughout the site. You can walk a trail around the Windmill Island too. We have never been in Holland during the Tulip Festival when this place would be overflowing with floral beauty. Just happy to outdoors to get during these COVID-19 times! Masks and social distancing are being practiced here!

We visited in August and there weren't any tulips and the garden was closed. However, we watched the bulb sorting process and browsed the hundreds of bulbs available. The staff is awesome - friendly and helpful. Look forward to returning one day during tulip season.
