Snow Farm NZ is now open for winter from the 20th June 2020 until Sunday 20th September. We offer backcountry hut overnight stays, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and a Snow Fun Zone with tubing which is great for young children. A visit to this resort is a great way to experience the beauty of New Zealand's alpine environment and take in views of the stunning Southern Alps. We have have a small cafe where you can soak up the view and enjoy hot soup, fries, hot drinks, slices and more.
Sam Lee and his amazing team run a very professional. customer-centric operation; dedicated to giving you, be this your first time XC skiing or a regular expert, the best possible experience on their beautifully maintained trails and world class equipment!

If you want to do a bike ride that doesn't take all day, then do this one. Track is pretty much flat all the way and the scenery is eye opening. Thoroughly recommend, especially for oldies

The views of the coastline were amazing, we were able to see the seals lazing in the sunny rock pools and swimming around the shoreline. Great photo opportunities of the lighthouse as we approached it.

The Cloud Forest of Leith track from Sullivans Dam is quite well made with wooden steps and boardwalks. The second half of the walk along the Escarpment track is a bit wilder and quite muddy, but still clear to follow and well marked. At a leisurely pace allow 3 to 4 hours (one way).

This is one of those places that's not on many people's radars, but it's worth a visit for the excellent view. There's very limited parking on Highcliff Road where you can begin the climb up to the memorial. It starts with a staircase, followed by a steep but well-worn trail around farm fields. Perhaps complicating matters is the fact that there appear to be many names for this memorial. I'm calling it by what's engraved on the plaque at the base of the statue. It reads "Otago Peninsula Fallen Soldiers' Memorial".

Finally got along to the Pa. Turn off before Purakaunui and after a few KM you will came to a sign which says you can not drive past this point. There are large pine trees to shade your car. Walk down the sandy path to the beach. Turn left and climb the step steps. You can see Doctor's Point ahead. Climb past the sign that says be careful with children. There are step sides, but great view to Blueskin Bay. Have a walk along the beach, but you need to return to the path you came from.

Peaceful scenic mostly flat walk around the lake. Clean & clear water lake that is well used for swimming and boats. So many photo opportunities along the way. The bridge goes over the junction with shotover river where the jet boats go. There is a great cafe near the marina to stop and have lunch. If a two way walk is too far for you there is the local bus you can catch back. Follow the path at the bottom of the botanical gardens and keep going.
