The journey begin on the top floor of the building,8th floor, with wildlife on the beach or surface water, then step dowm floor by floor with spectacular animal from japan and all over the world. The outstanding star is Giant whale shark within big tank of waters with transparent high pressure proof acrylic panes where we can observe its natural lifes with amazing grace with other marine lifes. Astonished by wonders of life, fascinated by surprises and mysteries in nature, you will want to share the amazing discoveries with someone else. Through the encounter with various forms of life which resonates your heart strings and brings you a sense of oneness, you will awake to the power of life. Yet, what inspires you here are not only living things, but unprecedented experiences, leading to a new finding in yourself Interactive Aquazoo, NIFREL
Our friends brought us here and it was an interesting experience. Somewhat an aquarium with a mini zoo inside Expocity, this interactive aquazoo is a wonderful place to visit. Open from 10am to 8pm daily, there are various zones you can discover the wonders of nature. At the ‘mimic’ zone, look out for the creatures which blend themselves in the environment for protection and to avoid being noticed. We had great fun trying to spot the glass frogs. There is a barrier-free area where you get to walk in an area where the animals are free to roam and you get to enjoy their natural behaviour. Do look out for the lemurs who love to hang out above the ceiling planks and see if you can spot them. Hint:- look out for their tails. :) At the ‘abilities’ zone, there are anglers which can spout water though we didn’t see them in action when we were there. Check out the spotted garden eels which love to bury themselves in the sand and many other interesting creatures. There was also a white tiger in action looking for its food. Overall a very interesting visit. Highly recommended. Service dogs for those with disabilities are allowed.

No, there is no panda or any fancy aspect here, but was greatly enjoyable last Sunday (May 21), when it was packed by families with babies to toddler/kids, young/elderly couples, tour of handicapped people, animal-loving loners intending to fill in time but somehow ended up loving the Zoo; even the homeless people loitering around the zoo were felt like accepted as part of the specimen? - yet another evidence of Osaka people's uniqueness; what the local visitors were commenting on each specimen that I overhead were indeed full of wit and humors, which you could never expect from Tokyoites or other Japanese from other region; even if you don't speak Japanese, you would feel out the humor of the Osaka people during your visit which costs only JPY 500 or USD 4.3 equivalent only (adult) - give it a try, especially on Sundays when the nearby fair - ongoing near the Tensiba Gate - and Shinseikai located a few min walk from the opposite Gate have a perked-up happy feel!
