Home to nearly nine million and powering an economy that exceeds both Hong Kong's and Thailand's, Osaka packs quite a punch. The confident, stylish city is a shopping hub, with fabulous restaurants and nightlife. It's an ideal base for exploring the Kansai region; Kyoto's World Heritage Sites, Nara's temple and Koya-san's eerie graves are within 90 minutes by train. Top city attractions include the aquarium, Osaka Castle, Universal Studios Japan and the futuristic Floating Garden Observatory.

This modern, soaring building consists of two towers connected by an observation deck that offers a spectacular view of the city.
It’s definitely a great place to go if you want some good views of Osaka. Definitely worth the price of admission. Going during the day is great, but go in the evening for dope night views!

The oldest temple in Japan, built over 1,400 years ago, this temple is famous for its symmetrical design and even has an architectural arrangement named after it,”Shitenno-ji-style temple layout.”
The temple with main hall was beautiful. We were there during the New Year when many Japanese visited temple.

If there is one spot to get the best photos of Dotonbori , this is it! This was our 2nd time visiting Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi and the views from the Ebisu Bridge still amazed us. Strategically located in between Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi over the Dotonbori canal, it acts like a big courtyard between these attractions with the most noticeable billboards (such as the Glico man) and entry ways. Especially amazing at night when all the lights are lighted up from the billboards, the river walk, the shops etc. The sights and the sounds and the energy were just at another level unmatched elsewhere.

It is pretty and lovely rose garden located on an island along the Okawa river with the skyscraper in the background. It is a quiet and peaceful place which is great for a stroll in the morning or late afternoon. Highly recommended.

Very beautiful temple for photo shot. Please come here during night because the view is more beautiful. it is a small open air temple. The location also perfect, inside Dotomburi district.

Cheapest way to see Osaka from a height. 600 yen per person for a 15 minute ride. Surprisingly no queue at all! Entry point is either on the 6th or 7th floor. The fastest way up is via the elevator at the side of the main entrance

Just a few mins walk from JR Tsuruhashi st., this shopping arcade extending into a few blocks of various interesting shops, those of which selling the Korean food & beverages, sundries/goods are most featured among other things, would be appealing to those who wanna seek somewhere unseen in the vicinity of Osaka central. Kimji or spicy fermented pickles that I purchased ("extremely hot 激辛" & "least hot" 甘辛 made of Chinese cabbages) proved to be very tasty, offered at a competitive pricing of JPY 250 - 350 per 300 - 500g and made part of good Osaka souvenir.
