The best place to stay in the mountains is Hotel Leonor. What a unique experience in the mountains of Gourougou. This hotel is atypical and created by a local artist. Every detail is colorful. The entrance feels like a museum full of memories. The staff is basic in French (almost no English) but always with a smile. There is a free underground parking for your car. We got an amazing room with view on the mountains. The room is spacious and the bathroom colorful and clean. I will definitely come back here. There are some nice hikes around the hotel. Ask for the cactus trail to the top of the mountain for sunset.

A very interesting and relaxing two days trip in eastern Morocco. Walking in the souk of the Médina and living in a very cosy and well situated hotel Lahlou. I recommend to those who want to avoid noisy and touristic places and to meet people from the country in their daily activities.
