Thus is an awesome park with great hiking options. Some trails have beautiful views of the San Juan Islands others take you through old growth forests next to streams, lakes and waterfalls. Really beautiful. Plenty of deer on the island in including an unusual pure white buck we saw on the Little Summit hike.

Hard to get to, but worth the trip. Fossil beds (leave them in place), tranquil camping. Superb views. Salish Sea at tis best.

It had been several years since we'd been to Buck Bay Farm, and boy, had it grown! No longer a single room and counter, there are now essentially three rooms/barns to serve you: a restaurant/bar area, a barn where you can select your own clams, oysters, etc, and the original shed with the shellfish market portion. Staff are doing a terrific job of keeping things clean and trying to ensure social distancing, quite a feat when you consider the crowds they're serving. If you stop, be sure to try their halibut ceviche (so amazing, we had to return a second day to have it), fish & chips (salmon--hubby said it was amazing), or pick up fresh shellfish for dinner. The crab we picked up--though certainly a bit tedious to clean--was well worth the effort! We'll certainly return on our next trip.

Once you take the drive down the path you find a beautiful setting with a great display of pottery throughout the yard and shop.

We were waiting for the ferry and wanted to stop here so we allowed an extra hour, I’m glad we did. (We’re going to go that every time). We fell in love with their plum cider and had a nice sit with a nice view and an interesting little sitting area (all kinds of musical instruments on the walls) to contemplate our trip. I’m sure it’s lively in high season with all the outdoor seating but we were nice and warm inside on a crisp & cool fall day.

The largest of the San Juan islands is also one of the prettiest, with rocky terrain for hiking and dramatic shorelines for kayaking and whale watching.
This museum has lots of information of the early settlers and life on Orcas island. They have moved several small original settlers' cabins to the site and have plenty of artifacts. It was larger than I thought it would be. I spent about 45 minutes browsing the exhibits. I really enjoyed the museum and would bring more family to see it. Admission was free but you could give a suggested donation.

While Mt Constitution gets all the love, the view from Orcas knob (AKA Turtlehead) I think are thebest on the Island. You gotta hike there and while not super hard, it is a bit of up and down, but terrain is solid so not technically difficult at all. Make sure you take the Turtlehead trail to the end, you will be rewarded
