We really enjoyed the all you could eat buttermilk pancakes. We got sausage and coffee too all for around $10 a person. The other highlight was the store which sold maple syrup obviously and maple syrup granola, cotton candy and all kinds of other stuff. Great family experience!!!

This is a really cool stop if you are out for a country drive. Beautiful brand new building with a tasting room that overlooks the stills. Staff was very friendly and informative. The tasting is free and included mixers for those who need to cut straight liquor. Only vodka for now but the staff said there was more varieties to come! Bought a bottle, great with tonic.

At Long Acre Farms there is something fun to do for everyone. They have New York's first Amazing Maize Maze. In the Back 40 Play Area is a jumping pillow, giant slide, and a whole lot more. At the Farm Market, Bakery, and Sweet Cone Shop you're sure to find something delicious to eat. In the Courtyard you can mine for gems in the sluice or pet the friendly goats. Plan your next adventure here!JD Wine Cellars is open year round with a growing selection of red, white, and 100% whole fruit wines. You're sure to find a style of wine to enjoy!
We stopped here on the way home after dinner last night. "The Farm" is always a great spot in our area to spend a summer night. They have a wonderful ice cream stand, and lots of activities mainly for the kids. The corn maze won't be open for a few months, but there is lots to do already. The only problem yesterday was that they don't have "no-sugar-added" ice cream flavors yet, but I'm sure they're coming. Stop by when you can. It's fun!

We love coming to this beautiful park, located on the southern shoreline of Lake Ontario, It's in a beautiful location, and has something for just about everything. The biggest attraction is the unobstructed view of the lake and shoreline, which is covered with flat, smooth rocks which everyone loves to skip on the water. The park has plenty of picnic tables and bar-b-que grills for those summer eat-outs, and there are swings and a new jungle gym set for the little ones.
One warning about this place: it is ALWAYS colder then you'd imagine, and the wind is always blowing here as well, so bring along a light jacket even in warmer temperatures.

The superhighway of pre-Civil War America, this marvel of human engineering and labor, built from Albany to Buffalo, opened up America's frontier to the west.
I love living within walking distance of the historic Erie Canal in the village of Fairport. The path along the canal is great for walking or cycling. The path is paved and well lit at night. Enjoyable to walk the path anytime of year. An added bonus is the variety of restaurants and shops in close proximity to the canal.

We went out to see a current-run movie at this theater this past weekend. The theater was nice and clean and did offer the newly-in-fashion recliner seats. The parking lot was also large enough to handle all cars, and everything else (except the price of the food-and-drink at the concession stand) worked well. They have online ticket sales as well, so I could not think of a single improvement to recommend. This is a great theater.

Tour the Smith Family Farm to learn more about the boyhood of Joseph Smith Jr., the first prophet and president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visit the nearby Sacred Grove, where Joseph received a vision of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Tours are Free.
My family greatly enjoyed our experience at the Smith Family Farm. Whether you are a member of the LDS faith or not, walking through the restored Smith farm, which was a jumping off point for one of America's most enduring religious movements, is educational and insightful. The Mormon missionaries who guide you through the sites are respectful and considerate. You will have as much time as you want to go through everything. My family particularly enjoyed spending time in what Mormons refer to as the sacred grove.

Wickham Farms has been on Route 250 in Penfield for nearly 30 years offering kiddie train rides, a jumping pillow, mini-golf, batting cages, food, and ice cream. Enjoy their corn maze, hayrides, Mums and 7 different kinds of heirloom & specialty pumpkins in the Fall. They host birthday parties, field trips, story times, and annual events as well as a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. The farm is open Spring through October.
I brought my granddaughter here during October pumpkin picking season. It was very busy as expected on a pleasant Saturday. They do offer lots of different activities - corn maze, jumping pillow, little train ride, apple picking, sunflower picking, food.
My granddaughter loves the jumping pillow but no way would I allow a young child to jump on that without an adult. It's really surprising that kids aren't getting hurt. Just as it sounds, it is a large inflated rubbery pillow thing that one jumps on. It is not supervised and kids of all sizes and ages are having a free-for-all time. Some kids get out of control with their jumping. Some lose their balance and tumble down the sloping sides to the hard packed sandy surface. It was too wild for my comfort.
We tried the fried apple slices. They are slices dunked in what tasted like a donut batter of some kind and deep fried. They were very good.
I'm sure the website lists all the activities available at Wickham Farms. It has really grown over the years. Maybe a little too much.

Casey Park is located in the middle of Wayne County, and is surrounded by not much not much of anything else. It has so much to do inside that you won't know where to start if you haven't already planned your day's activities. There are all the normal baseball, football and other sports fields inside the park...that part is a given. But how about an area completely given over to water sports, including an area with a beach for swimming and docks for casting your favorite lure for fish? Also in the back of this park is a large county community center with indoor facilities for all kinds of sports. This is a great place for the entire family to come to enjoy an inexpensive outdoor activities. I highly recommend it.

Picnic, fish, hike, party, and mostly Photograph! We have been there, in out, frozen and fried for zillions of visits since 1972. The Park is over 500 acres and begins about 1/4 mile from our house, and continues thru forests, bogs, creeks, sledding hills, a public camping area, and ends at the shore for spectacular sunrises and sunsets all year. Several kinds of shelters .. collect rocks, minnows, crayfish, play in open meadows, fish the creek or pier, and take your camera !! I have lots of pics, but don't see where to add them
