Outdoor recreation is a way of life every month of the year, from ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter to boating and swimming in the summer.
Bucket List: Visit every Provincial Park in Ontario. Lake Superior Provincial Park is many parks in one. I was here in 2013 and walked to Agawa Rock Pictographs and visited Old Woman Bay. This time around we stopped at the Visitor Centre (a must - so good), swam at Katherine Cove (beautiful) and stopped once again at Old Woman Bay.

Lake Muskoka is my favourite place. Many childhood memories were created here and I still see this lake daily. I try to get out on the lake as often as possible in the boat, paddleboard or even aboard one of the great ships cruising out of the Muskoka Wharf. Definitely a treasure and should be protected for futures generations to enjoy!

One of the oldest landmarks in Ottawa, this canal is filled with boats in the summer and becomes the "World's Longest Skating Rink" in the winter.
The canal is definitely a must see when you visit Ottawa. Best time to enjoy would be may - September when the canal is filled and boat tours are open, as well as in February during Winterlude. You can skate the entire canal weather permitting. If you are a cyclist, runner, or have a dog, there are lovely paths on either side of the canal that you can travel along. Even driving next to it - it’s so beautiful.

One of the mighty Great Lakes that offers outstanding tourism and recreation opportunities for every season.
Lake Ontario is a vast body of water with lots going on.The ferries and water taxis to and from the islands are a nice trip as is a walk along the Lake shore with the many boats and birds to see. There are also the comings and goings of the smaller planes from Billy Bishop Airport and we were lucky enough to watch a sea plane landing.Lots to see and do.

Scenic lake located in the Bruce Peninsula National Park that offers both camping facilities and hiking trails.
Got a midday pass. Great hike options. Cliffs were very slippery with the intermittent rain and gave a few scary slides. View from the Cliffs of the unique lake water colors was amazing and worth the time

I love watching the boats go through the canal from huge ships to small craft. There is a special viewing park in Port Colborne and St. Catherines plus an information and display building.

Mississauga Ontario's entertainment hub for shopping, events, music and dining on the waterfront. Our beautiful community offers something for everyone, with a wide array of restaurants, retail stores, services and cafes, all within easy walking distance from each other. We are only 26 km away from Downtown Toronto. The Port Credit Go Station will drop you off right into the heart of our town. Port Credit is always on and always electric!
Port Credit area has 2 water fronts. The port section has the light house on the road and walkway on the shoreline. This also has the Snug Harbour restaurant. But there is a challenge with parking as there's only pay parking on the road. The other one is the J.C. Saddington park is a nice park with plethora of grass areas, seating benches, lake shore and rocky areasto seat and enjoy the views. Also it has 2 large parking areas. Very good view of the sunrise behind the solitary ship on the lake. It is really nice to have a walk during morning or evening.

I mistook in my prior review. Not a big deal, except one word was missed : the ORIGINAL Boreal forest was clear cut.. If you look at some old logging photos around Lake Nipissing (google them) , you'll see huge trees. They don't exist anymore by this Lake. Big, but not HUGE! As a comparison, Lake Temagami region, just north of Lake Nipissing has some untouched boreal forests. No they are not original either. Although those trees can live a few hundred years, I doubt they can live a 1000 years. In the fall the deciduous trees around the lake have a wonderful colour.

Beautiful Long Point beach, but I came here to talk about the fish and chips. So, first, long point is beautiful. Just go, have a drive, walk the beach, do some fishing. What ever you like, it is a prestine, amazing spot to do it. Now, I really came her eto write a review for the Chip Ship food truck. Beautiful fish and chips set on the little canal with boats passing by. The staff are friends, the food is amazing and the setting is perfect. A must if you are in the area.
