Any cold mid-winter night is immediately made more special with a visit to the Falls, the lights, the sound of rushing water, and voila, magic! Make sure you enjoy the view from one of the local Almonte pubs or restaurants, even better!

A little off the beaten track (I can't tell you which!), this chute is a hidden gem and looks like it was man-made. Large, flat slabs of limestone form terraces on either side of the river, forcing the water through tightly before the river widens out again below the rocks. While some selfish ignorant has chipped out fossils from the rock, a couple do remain for an enchanting discovery.
