Established in 1959, Covert Farms Family Estate Winery is located in Oliver, BC on 650 acres of benchland. Winemaker Gene Covert is a 3rd generation farmer who worked this land with his father and grandfather. Our certified organic estate vineyards are influenced by the majestic McIntyre Bluff and managed with biodynamic practices. We craft our estate wines with minimal intervention, using natural fermentation when possible to focus on vineyard and fruit. Our white wines display purity of fruit and a crisp natural acidity coveted by growers, and low yields result in terroir-focused artisan reds that are luscious and age-worthy. Those who love recreation dually appreciate our location at the gateway to the iconic Okanagan landmark McIntyre Bluff, which makes a great place to picnic, bike ride or hike. Secrest Organics at Covert Farms operates our seasonal fruit & vegetable stand, and visitors can get their hands dirty in the u-pick section - selecting ripe produce under the summer sun.
Really beautiful family winery and farm. The Epicurean grand reserve tasting was fantastic - the host was great at explaining the wines and the background and philosophy of the organic farm. She also gave us time to enjoy the wines and didn't rush us at all. The charcuterie board that came with the tasting was really great, with local foods and fresh items from the farm. The wines were a little more expensive than some wineries, but were really interesting and unique. We were so happy that they also have a kids farm tour and tasting as well - our kids enjoyed this winery so much more than other ones with no kids' activities! It made for a much more enjoyable tasting for the adults to have the kids busy.

Our winery is evidence of what one man with vision, determination, and a little luck can accomplish. Proprietor and winemaker, Ted Kane, developed a passion for winemaking at a young age. Many Alberta winters were spent learning and planning how to accomplish his ultimate goal; owning and operating a winery in Canada's premiere wine producing area, Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. 10 years after acquiring it, this perfect piece of raw land has been transformed into a 7 acre vineyard producing several varieties of high quality fruit, a fully functioning winery with a boutique tasting room and, most importantly, our family home. We specialize in the Bordeaux varietals, but also have a selection of white wines and a unique, full bodied Malbec Rose.
Julie was a fantastic host, the best experience we had in the Okanagan. The only winery where we loved all the wines for tasting that day. Joined their wine club and were thrilled to come home to our cases of wine to share with friends and family.

My wife and I always go to Hillside Orchards when we visit the Okanagan. This year we stayed in our trailer on their property for a week's stay. Such a gorgeous spot! Heide made a concerted effort to ensure we were looked after. Whether it was delivering fresh eggs and fruit to us, or just stopping to talk, she took time out of her busy day to befriend us! We were able to enjoy their wonderful vegetables and fruits every day. Parking our trailer was easy, had water and power supplied. There are also 2 yurts next to us, one of which our daughter and her husband stayed in for one night with their dogs. Heide and her family are genuinely nice people, who made our stay there so enjoyable and comfortable! Will definitely return!

What a great place! The winery itself is magnificent. Beautiful and so well kept. Well done! Our experience tasting was great! So many wines and one of the only wineries with no charge. Addition, cheese cubes between tastes as well. Our host was hilarious as well. One of our favourite stops!

We stopped at Jackson Triggs Estate Oliver, February 1 , 2020 Touring wineries with friends from North Carolina . We were greeted by Jim . He explained the wines available for tasting, was very knowledgeable ,answered all our questions and had a great sense of humour. He treated us like old friends , leaving us wanting to return . Jim is certainly a wonderful host and ambassador for Jackson Triggs Estate.

Beautiful setting high up the mountain with spectacular views. They sold out of 1/2 of their selection already and all their whites, so our tasting was limited . Very nice picnic area . And an art gallery on the upper level!

Unplanned, we turned into the driveway of this winery in the attempt to get a bottle of wine to give a friend before hitting the main road back to Vancouver. What a PLEASANT surprise: to be welcomed into a cool, elegant wine tasting gallery filled with classical music and art works; then the friendly wagging tails of a little dog followed by a bigger dog who seemingly offering their heads to be pet; the charge was $5 for 9 kinds of wine including a port. The port is excellent. We definitely will recommend Quinta Ferreira to our friends and will plan to visit them again on our next trip to Oliver.

Family owned and operated! Award winning wines –always made in small batches from pure South Okanagan, British Colombia grapes. Rose, white blends Heart of Gold and Radiant Rhapsody, a bold red blend Crimson Rhapsody, pure varieties of white and red wines and a unique style of dessert wine. With a hands-on approach, the owners facilitate every step of the process, from grape to glass. Castoro de Oro welcomes both children and pets to its fun, cozy atmosphere. Castoro de Oro Estate Winery’s name and label pays homage to its vineyard’s terroir and the founding of Canada. The 35-year-old (planted in 1980), eight-acre vineyard is located on the Golden Mile and blessed with a unique soil combination and a small lake located at the base of it. This terroir provides an ideal foundation for growing superior grapes and a longer growing season than many other Golden Mile vineyards. Beavers helped to create the small lake during their manipulation of earth and water. And early settlers’ search for gold led to the beavers’ vast contribution to the history of the nation; the then-booming fashion industry’s need for beaver felt and fur ultimately allowed settlers to thrive, formally establish the country, and choose the beaver as Canada’s national animal. Now, deservedly so, the dapper mascot appears on every old-photograph styled label.
Thank you Stella for the wonderful tasting experience and the delicious wines! We truly enjoyed our time at your winery!

How great that Oliver has such a wonderful theatre! Classic box office opening to the street. Prices reasonable especially if you are used to city prices. Even popcorn, etc. is priced very reasonably. Tuesdays offer a really good deal fro admission and snacks for one low price. If you buy a bottle of water they give you a cup......reason is the cup holders on the seat arms have no bottom so a water bottle falls right through and rolls done the theatre floor. I should know as mine did.....Hopefully we can return to see another movie in the coming weeks.
