The Coliseum Theatre dates back to 1885 when it began life as the Grand American Circus and Hippodrome. The auditorium has a capacity of 524 seats, in addition the theatre has a studio space with a more intimate capacity of 50 seats. The inhouse and touring productions seen on the main stage each year offer a balanced programme of drama, comedy, musical, new writing and the annual pantomime.

Tandle Hill Country Park

Reviewed By stevenb108 - Oldham, United Kingdom

The weather has picked up,i hate walking in the rain,so after setting off from Chadderton,I'd decided on Tandle Hills. It takes me just over an hour of walking to get there, from Royton, Rochdale road looks so long, then you turn onto Tandle Hill road & that's another long walk,it may have been cold, but by now i've warmed up. Reaching the gates,my final goal was the monument up at the top, this looks out all across Oldham,Rochdale,Manchester & a far, especially on a good clear day.(this wasn't one) Then it's only one way & that's down,i took the steps, careful when wet, when you reach the bottom, still a few different ways to go. On this occasion while i was heading back,i had two deer run out in front of me,i never knew they were up there.. Making my way back, plenty of others walking & using the park. There is a cafe, with outdoor seating, but today it was closed, take your own it's probably cheaper.. Overall at this current time it's a place to let your problems & thoughts blow in the breeze.
