Bristol is a quirky British city with beautiful hilly vistas and plenty of historic sights to explore. Anyone interested in ships will have a blast aboard Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the world’s first great oceanliner, and the Matthew, a replica of the ship upon which John Cabot sailed to America in the 15th century. The graceful Clifton Suspension Bridge is another must-see.

The most prestigious glass shop in the heart of the historic centre of Bristol, a step away from St. Nicholas Market. Here you can see the entire range of glass made by Bristol Blue Glass Bedminster, the workshops being on the site of the Bedminster Glassworks, founded in 1716. The same exquisite traditional craftsmanship can be admired in all our glass. In addition to our own products, we also sell a small selected range of interesting antique and vintage glass for the discerning collector. We look forward to welcoming you to one of the most fascinating shops in Bristol.

St Nicholas Market is the traditional Marketing Hub of Bristol. Commonly known as St Nicks, The market is situated in the centre of Bristol. Its permanent market buildings are home to the largest collection of independent retailers in Bristol. Divided into three sections (The Glass Arcade, Covered Market and the Exchange), the market is full of unique items and character. The buildings and streets nearby host a range of other markets including a weekly farmers market.
Great market and amazing food stall, full of people and great atmosphere, the homemade cakes are to die for and the falafel quite cheap and yummy!

In a fantastic waterside location at the heart of Bristol's harbourside, Arnolfini is one of Europe's leading centres for the contemporary arts, presenting innovative, experimental work in the visual arts, performance, dance, film, music and events, accompanied by a programme of educational activities. Sitting on the quayside with a drink on a summer evening is a quintessentially Bristol experience. Arnolfini's Harbourside Bar serves a menu of fresh, locally sourced food and fairtrade tea and coffee. Arnolfini Bookshop stocks a variety of arts magazines, periodicals and books as well as a great choice of fiction and non-fiction, wonderful children's collection and gifts.
Thought this was a fantastic place with two great exhibitions on when we went - interesting and beautifully presented. Friendly cafe bar as well.

The Harbourside Market is: a community of foodies, makers, musicians, artists, and marketeers with a vision of turning Bristol’s Harbourside into a weekly festival. A collection of the best jewellery, clothing, books, art, produce, soaps, and trinkets you can get your hands on. The perfect place for a conversation and a dance. And the location of the best street food going.

After a great deal of research at home and abroad, I found the perfect item in Rag & Bone's on line shop. The highly detailed and accurate description made it easy for me to decide that I had found exactly what I was looking for. Even allowing for shipping to Australia, the price was very, very competitive. I was worried about damage during transportation, however, Mollie took all the pieces apart, wrapped them individually and then double boxed the lot. The parcel arrived safely with everything in tact. I am now busy polishing the brass and washing the crystal so that the piece can take pride of place in my home. I will definitely be watching out for more antiques that Rag and Bone offer for on line sale - almost as good as browsing in store. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and the service offered.
