With hundreds of man-made lakes, state parks, casinos, museums and nightlife and dining opportunities in revitalized downtown areas in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, there is a lot to see and do in the Sooner State. The state is dotted with phenomenal lakes where swimming, boating and bass fishing are the most desired activities. Some of the state’s most popular lakes include Broken Bow Lake located near the Quachita Mountains; Grand Lake in the northeastern corner of the state at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and Lake Murray in the hills in the southern part of the state.
While the state is known for its many outdoor activities like great fishing, golf, hiking, canoeing and boating, make sure you don’t overlook its fantastic museums. Heading the list are Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, featuring the world’s largest collection of art and artifacts from the American West; the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, which tells the story of the American Cowboy; and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, which has a permanent collection of American and European art. A venerable family favorite activity is Frontier City Amusement Park in Oklahoma City, which has dozens of rides and shows.

Wind Drift Orchards consists of two peach and nectarine orchards that are both located in Harrah, Oklahoma. 2020 Season Information: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, visit our website as this season will operate differently from previous years.
Wind Drift is a gem and we are fortunate to have two peach orchards so close together with delicious peaches, family memories, courteous staff and lots of sun! My grandkids start talking about picking peaches again months before the peaches are ready. Only negative is the peaches are a little pricey, but no other negative.

Don Carmichael is a true gem and a great person...and his produce business is second to none in the area. From late Spring until the late Fall, Carmichael's has the freshest and best selection of locally and regionally grown "fresh" produce..at very fair prices. During the Spring season, Don has great bedding plants for sale too, and his greenhouses are brimming with young and ready to plant vegetables. In the Fall, Don is the home to the best, and cracked on site area pecans, plus has the best pumpkins "anywhere" in the area. So, from tomatoes, to sweet corn, to fresh veggies, to pumpkins, to nuts...Carmichael's Produce is the best place to shop...oh, yes...his daughter-in law makes great peanut brittle and fudge too!
