What to do and see in Ohio, United States: The Best Food Tours

August 25, 2021 Janean Rudisill

If you are looking for an active place to stay with world-class attractions, Ohio’s major cities can satisfy any vacation desire. Each offers its own distinct flavor of fun, from professional sports – Bengals (Cincinnati), Cavaliers (Cleveland) and Indians (Cleveland again) – to museums, outdoor activities and more. One of the most famous is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. If football is your thing, don’t miss the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. For the science-minded, visit the meat eaters at the Carnivore Conservation Center in the Wilds near Cambridge, dedicated to the breeding and scientific study of endangered mid-sized carnivores. Kids will also love Planet Snoopy in Sandusky or the Columbus Zoo’s Zoombezi Bay Waterpark and Jack’s Landing rides.

It was a cancelled without warning. We drove 3 1/2 hours to get there. When we arrived there was no tour guide. WE went to the manager of the market. She had no idea about tours. She called the number and we were informed that the guide couldn't make it because of covid and we would be getting our money back.

Our guide was great! She spent a lot of time describing the history, culture, and significance of Little Italy. And the food was terrific! From the appetizers at the local market to the pastas, pizza, sauces, meats, and desserts at other locations on the tour, the foods were amazing. And as a full-blooded Italian who grew up eating the homemade dishes prepared by native Italian grandparents, you can believe that I know great Italian food when I taste it! I wholeheartedly recommend this tour.
