We tried two courses before we finally got a tee time at Ocean Pines. The other two courses were having off-season, mid-week tournaments for their owners! Bad timing on our part that turned out good. I still recommend calling ahead for a tee time. The course is well maintained and challenging. Lots of unfortunately placed sand, a little water, and not wide, but not narrow fairways. The roughs were not overwhelming and were cut short enough to be able to find your balls. The greens were slow, then fast, then slow again as the dew evaporated and we ran into recently fertilized greens. My only complaint was we were playing in front of a couple groups of older gentlemen who were playing from the RED tees. This speeded up their game while we were not as fast. It was a bit annoying. The staff at the course were very nice.

We visited the actual town of Berlin, MD. Our daughter told us about the antique shops. So on a chilly day we took a 25 minute drive from our base at Bethany Beach and did a little reminiscing and shopping. There are several antique stores and many nice restaurants. Being from Ohio and the land of the Western Reserve we felt right at home, we enjoy the colonial atmosphere. Great day trip and you can always end you visit at Ocean Downs.

Only thing I didn't like- they wouldn't let us take the new ones home in a growler. BUT- I understand why (so everyone can try it) I will be back again!
P.s no food is offered, but you can bring in your own or order while you're there.
