Definitely one of the finest art galleries in Huatulco. A wonderful variety of size and style of art showcasing various talented and acclaimed artists throughout Mexico. Sam is well versed on the artists, their styles and the history of the artists on display. Worth a visit!!

ALTER is an immersive virtual reality art center created by internationally-renowned artists Flatsitter and David Patrick Mitchell. For the past three years, the artists have been collaborating with dozens of Oaxacan artists, actors, writers, and musicians to create a series of intense and visceral virtual reality artworks. These VR "journeys" through vivid dreamscapes are inspired by simulated realities and the ancient knowledge of the Central Valley in Oaxaca. Don't miss this museum. It has an amazing collection of artifacts from pre-Hispanic Mexico. In each room there was information in English that helped us understand the significance of the pieces.

First off, it is free, which is amazing. As a fundraiser, by profession, I wonder who is paying for it. But, in any case, there was new edgy work dealing with the situation we are in as a society, along with the work of Bravo. I had the feeling that this was a work in progress, part of a school, a place for students to take classes. I do not know the details. It was also a sort of sanctuary with people thinking, looking, creating. I liked the informality of the place. It was peaceful.

This is a wonderful space with well-organized and well-curated exhibits of contemporary art. Exhibit halls are wide and expansive, and the quality is first-rate.
