Try your luck at catching the brass ring and winning a free ride on the oldest working carousel in the U.S., which has been enchanting children and adults for over a hundred years. The 20 hand-carved horses on this official historic landmark have real horsehair manes and tails.
The kiddos loved trying to get the brass ring all while riding the oldest carousel in the country! Fun experience for all!

the gingerbread cottage area is really cool. we found out alot about it during the museum visit. the gentleman in the museum was very nice and was able to give us great history. apparently, the area was originally a wesleyan (methodist) community. we are members of the methodist church, so we found that very interesting. alot of the cottages are pretty and the wood work is amazing. enjoy the walk around the cottages...make sure you stop in the museum.

After being let down by several “homemade” ice cream stands we heard about Ben & Bill’s from a long time summer resident at the beach. He did not steer us wrong! Everyone’s ice creams were delicious and we got a small of the lobster ice cream(real lobster chunks) to try and it was delicious! Definitely in small portions but worth trying!

My family during a recent vacation came to The Barn (from the recommendation of others) but didn't have a reservation. It was trivia night and we couldn't be seated in the main dining room because our party was 6. We were about to leave and Joelle told us to wait and eventually seated us in the vip/event room. I assume she did this right before the end of her shift as she was already gone when we finished so we couldn't thank her personally so we came back the next night! Thank you Joelle for finding an alternative place for us to eat. Meg, you were a great server as well.
