The Hawaiian island of Oahu is a surfer’s paradise, with swelling waves that can reach epic heights. No wonder, then, that it’s the site of one of the world’s premier competitions, the Triple Crown of Surfing. If hanging ten isn’t your thing, you can still enjoy the beautiful beaches – particularly famous Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. Art connoisseurs will appreciate the annual Hale'iwa Arts Festival, a celebration of local crafts, painting, jewelry, sculpture, dance, and music.

3.5 acre living classroom in the heart of Mānoa Valley and ahupuaʻa of Waikīkī inspires people of all ages to be thoughtful stewards of their own communities
This was a really special tour. I grew up on the other side of Manoa Valley and always saw this house while driving by. The tour was very informative and who knew that there was such historical significance on the grounds of this house. It was a great opportunity to catch some history about the valley and experience a little bit of the liquid sunshine we get in Manoa.

Part of Waimea Adventure Park, this botanical garden offers 6,000 varieties of plant life.
The walk to the falls is absolutely beautiful! So many different trees, plants, and flowers. The falls itself is beautiful too. They have life jackets at the falls for you to use and lifeguards on duty. There are also benches you can sit on to watch your loved ones. There are restrooms and changing stalls at the falls. Where there is water, there is mosquitoes so bring bug spray. This hike will not disappoint!

This 14-acre garden is home to over 4,000 species of rare tropical plants.
Foster botanical gardens are a great place to visit. The entry fee is reasonable and a great price. It's a nice place to visit and wasn't very busy when we went. There's a nice gift shop and the gardens are nicely kept. I would recommend that you wear bug spray as there are bugs that can bite you. Nice place for all ages.

Part of the University of Hawaii, the Lyon Arboretum offers 194 acres and a research facility.
Its beautiful but gets wet on the uneven trail. Lots of trees you won't see anywhere else, also beautiful flowers and orchids.

This was great fun to hike--we just had to be super careful on the way down. It had rained heavily the previous day and the mud/clay was treacherous. We got a nice view from the top because it was sunny when we hiked. That is not always the case for many hikes in Hawaii. The vegetation was really interesting to me (first time in Hawaii). I got to see one of my favorite flowers, Lantana, as a perennial. I live in a zone where it does not survive the winter. Enjoy the hike, the view will be frosting!

We loved our virtual tour and learned so much about the Temple, the grounds, and the history. We also enjoyed the model of the Temple including the architecture of this beautiful edifice. Sister Brown and Sister Morris were excellent tour guides and we loved their testimonies of the Gospel.
