Oh I wish I lived in Mahone Bay to partake in their shop life...a group of local ladies were sitting comfortably & having a great time knitting/chatting. The owner couldnt have been nicer...immediately asked if I needed help and took me right over to the local NS yarns. Love to purchase locally produced products when travelling. Have a Yarn had the best selection of the 4 (lol)yarn shops I visited in NS. Couldnt resist her cute store project bag either. Knitters: be sure to stop.

What an incredibly unique and great little spot. The whole experience was truly remarkable. My boyfriend and I came up for a nice breakfast (we had dietary restrictions - dairy free - which were easily accommodated) and a surreal hike. Love the vibe here with the owner personally coming by to say hello and check on things making our meal a little extra special. Highly recommend taking a day to go for some home cooked food, tasty maple syrup and a beautiful hike. We also came home with some maple syrup, and this is a must :).

As Canada’s only maker of mouth-blown, hand-cut crystal, our mission is to preserve the ancient craft, innovate designs and create art that is functional. Crowds gather at our Glassworks door on the Halifax Waterfront to watch master craftsmen turn molten crystal into stunning wine glasses, bowls, vases and other works of art. Next door in our Showroom, discover a variety of beautifully finished pieces. The Glassworks operates Monday through Friday, and the Showroom is open 7 days a week for your shopping convenience. Closed Sundays in winter.
We stopped at the small sub-store on the promenade where the inventory selection was smaller than the larger warehouse building. Make sure you go to the larger building. The assortment of crystal was overwhelming, and it took me a long time to pick just a single piece as a souvenir, but they do make a dated ornament which met my criteria. Don't miss this local gem (pun intended.)
