Have A Yarn

Situated in the beautiful historic town of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, we are located just off Highway 103, and merely an hour from Halifax! We have a vast collection of yarns, both local and from around the world. Visit our shop to explore our beautiful yarns and meet our friendly staff.

Oh I wish I lived in Mahone Bay to partake in their shop life...a group of local ladies were sitting comfortably & having a great time knitting/chatting. The owner couldnt have been nicer...immediately asked if I needed help and took me right over to the local NS yarns. Love to purchase locally produced products when travelling. Have a Yarn had the best selection of the 4 (lol)yarn shops I visited in NS. Couldnt resist her cute store project bag either. Knitters: be sure to stop.

LaHave Weaving Studio

Welcome to LaHave Weaving Studio situated in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Lesley Armstrong teaches and welcomes guest artists to offer a variety of workshops in textiles, design, and fibre art in an historic building overlooking the harbour. Resident weavers in the studio make for a congenial and stimulating community while the workshops go on around them.

LaHave Weaving Studio offers free artists' talks throughout the summer, bringing together students and local artists, and further strengthening the local fibre arts community, of which Lesley is an active member. I highly recommend the textile conversations and look forward to attending a workshop sometime soon!
