What to do and see in Nottingham, England: The Best Golf Courses

April 5, 2022 Sheron Bogner

This town in the very center of England is perhaps best known for its association with the legend of Robin Hood. The men in tights are long gone, though—today, you’ll find a modern city with a fantastic playhouse, ice hockey arena, and many, many shops and clubs.

Ramsdale Park Golf Centre

Reviewed By O2519RJsteveg

My friend, Chris, and I hadn't played in many years, so following a year of lockdown we wanted to get out. We booked the driving range and were knocked out by how friendly staff were, how modern the amenities and what a generally great experience we had. I'd forgotten a mask, but the guys on the snacks kiosk gave me one, and away we went. We both had such a great time that we've booked again for this coming Wednesday and are going to also try both courses soon as well. As we were leaving I was asking incoming golfers if we needed to be members to play the courses and a lovely lady behind me gave me all the info I needed (anyone can play) As we reached our car I told her what a great place it was and she said 'Thank you, we worked hard to get it as it is!' So, I'm guessing we inadvertently met the manager, Theresa, too. Bonus!! Seriously though, Ramsdale Park is an amazing place that's family friendly and lots of fun. We both ached all over next day, so we must be using muscles we'd forgotten about. Thanks Ramsdale. See you soon.,

We had a lovely round of golf on a super summers day and then went into to the very plush bar area for a drink and something to eat both of which were very good. However what really impressed was the friendliness of the staff particularly our waitress a small dark lady whose name I think may have been Sue or Susie. She was extremely prompt and efficient but at the same time very friendly and had time to have a chat and ask about our day at the club for service with a smile it was the topping on an excellent day

N1 Golf Centre Nottingham

I decided to take my 7yrs old to the new Dinosaur golf course at N1 Golf Centre to do some fun activity over half term. It only opened a few weeks back so really did not know what to expect. On the drive up to the centre I was not filled with confidence as it looked like there was a need to finish off the car park and looked like there is ongoing work still at the site. We paid for the golf and we were in for a real treat, its fantastic and I really can't fault the course. Yes are golf balls ended up in the water but that made it even better as we laughed so much. My son loved the boat/bridge that you have to pull the rope to get across the water to get to the next hole. We loved the dinosaurs, the crashed plane with the pilot asking for a ladder & help, loved the tunnels that you hit the golf ball through. I am really impressed with it (we have done other outdoor crazy golf courses and this is the best one to date) - Yes my son cheated and that was all part of the fun. We really enjoyed it. I think that there is a lot more development on the site (some work going on in the cafe area, I think it will be a golf shop) but I did not mind that we were there to have a fun time which we did. We were very lucky with the day as it was a beautiful sunny one and I will admit if the weather was different I may have gone to the indoor golf in Nottingham City Centre. I would highly recommend this centre for all ages.

Visited here and played foot-golf and crazy-golf. A great little course with a very friendly chap working there. I'd definitely recommend for an hour of fun.
