I travel with T-banen everyday for work and also on my free time - it is seldom delays (at least lately ; ) - departures are frequent and connections between t-bane and bus/trains/trams are good. Reccomend to use the "ruter reiseplanlegger" which will give you excellent suggestions on how to get easily from A-B using public transport in the Oslo area

The Cable Car is Tromsø’s most popular tourist destination. It runs from Solliveien in Tromsdalen up to the mountain ledge Storsteinen. The lower station is located on Tromsø’s mainland, 50 m above sea level, while the upper station, Fjellstua, is situated at an altitude of 421 m above sea level. The trip up takes just four minutes. From the large outdoor terrace, you can enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Tromsø and the virtually endless sight of islands, fjords, mountains and the open sea. Fjellheisen was built in 1961 by Brødrene Jakobsens Rederi, a local shipping company that was a major player in arctic hunting/trapping, fishing and expeditions to the arctic and Antarctic. The gondolas proudly convey this tradition by bearing the shipping company’s symbols: the polar bear and the seal.
We walked for 40 minutes from our Hurtigruten ship to the cable car. The adult return price was 230NOK and the cars go on the hour and half hour throughout the day. From the hilltop viewing platform we enjoyed panoramic views across the city of Tromso and the surrounding fjords and snow-capped mountains. We chose not to take any of the open hiking trails to higher spots due to the cold wind.

Gaustabanen, the cable car inside Gaustatoppen mountain has been a well-kept secret. Gaustabanen consists of a battery driven car on a cable that carries passengers approximately 860 metres horizontally up inside the mountain. Right in the centre of the mountain there is a station, with an angled shuttle line of 1040 metres that rises to 1800 metres above sea level. From the top, there is an exit to the so-called Tuddalstippen, situated right under the Gaustatoppen Tourist Cabin.

The Bergen Electric Tramway operates an historic museum tram - the Møhlenpris tram - operating together with the Bergen Technical Museum on selected Sunday afternoons (refer to our schedule on our webpage). We operate a number of historic tram cars from Bergen, Oslo and Berlin on a line starting at the old tram hall in Møhlenpris and eventually extending to the city centre of Bergen. At the present time we operate on 500 meters of track through Møhlenpris. A day ticket costs only 10 NOK.

The world's northernmost tramway. Regular service from Trondheim city centre (St. Olavs gate) to Lian.
I loved the tram ride! For part of the journey the track is on the side of a cliff so it’s not a trip for someone who dislikes heights. For anyone else it’s a cheap and fun way to spend an hour or two. You can download the public transport app called AtB and buy your tickets for it. f you just spend a few minutes at the terminus then you can easily do the journey up and down within the 90 minutes allowed for a basic ticket.

OMG! AMAZING skylift up and AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING views!!! Tickets are a tiny bit pricey just for a skylift HOWEVER, once you’re up there and see the views the price will be the last thing on your mind. Beautiful restaurant at the top. People paragliding off the top. It was beautiful and one of my favorite parts of my trip to Norway. Don’t miss this amazing view!

Voss Gondol is the largest and most modern mountain gondola in Northern Europe. It brings you from 56 to 820 MASL in less than 9 minutes. During the gondola ride, you will be overlooking Voss town centre, the Vangsvatnet lake and get a panoramic view of the many mountains surrounding Voss. At the top, you find scenic walks and Voss' largest restaurant (with homemade, local food). Welcome!
We had a day in Bergen and took the train to Voss. The new (July 2019) gondola departs from the train station, over the tracks and up the steep hill to the ski resort at the top of the mountain. The gondola cars are large and provide beautiful scenic views of Voss, the lake and the valley. We saw a few hang gliders floating down off the mountain and landing on a field near the lake. There’s a brand new restaurant at the top with a limited menu. Hamburgers were delicious. Looks like it will also be a lot of fun in the winter for skiers. We had an uplifting experience!
