During a visit at Svalbard Bryggeri you will hear about how Svalbard Bryggeri became a reality, how former coal miner and pilot Robert Johansen got the idea about establishing his own brewery on the northern most settlement, Longyearbyen Svalbard, and what would be required to implement the dream. You will taste five different beers brewed on 2000-year-old glacier water from Bogerbreen.
The tour as others have mentioned is really just a tasting, but it takes place in a bar overlooking the equipment so you're killing two birds with one stone. It was a really fun experience thanks to the high energy host Brianna and the fact that the beer is awesome. Thoroughly recommended as a way to spend a couple of relaxing hours after an excursion.

We came to SHB by walking around and it was an excellent place to taste beer. The selection is varied and the personnel is friendly. The great add-on is that you can order pizzas from Perfect Pizza and eat them in SHB, smart cooperatiom! We sat outside enjoying a beautiful evening with some great beers plus a Marco Polo Pizza. It could not be better. If you love beer, you must visit SHB whenever in Sandefjord.

Found this online staying down the road at the Clarion Hub Hotel. If you are not looking, you will miss it, there is just a small “H” on the wall outside and then you walk in through a curtain to a Victorian, Willie Wonka style bar dimly lit with plush leather high chairs and tables to sit at. The menu gives plenty of unique inspired Nordic cocktails made largely from in the premise distilled gin, vodka and aquavit, plus some others. They will also whip up any other cocktail you wish for from the lab coat-donned mixologists! A very groovy vibe and not to be missed, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Austmann Taproom is the showroom for Austmann Bryggeri's production facility in Trondheim. Open 5 days a week featuring a line up of in house and guest beers. Austmann Bryggeri was founded in 2013 by Thomas Sjue, Anders Cooper, and Vinko Sindelar. The three founders refinanced the homes of two mothers and one aunt in order to raise the start capital for the brewery. Backed by limited resources and a little help from their friends, a 9 hectoliter brewhouse was built out of recycled dairy equipment and repurposed tanks. At the Austmann Bryggeri & Taproom your can view our new 30hl brewhouse while enjoying our in house range of beers. Austmann’s beers are now available all over Norway and exported throughout Europe. #discoverbetterbeer is mandate to ourselves to push the limit, continue the pursuit of flavour and creativity, and chase the unattainable horizon. Closest bus stop is Kroppanbrua, just 9 min bus ride from downtown!
