Northumberland is blessed with many beautiful beaches and this wide sandy bay is one of the best. Tucked away behind a golf course and with a view of Dunstanburgh castle this is an unspoilt and well kept secret perfect for dogs and the grandkids loved paddling in the sea.

The Northumberland Coast Path follows this stunningly beautiful coastline for 100 kilometres (60 Miles) from Cresswell in the south to Berwick-upon-Tweed in the north. Alongside sandy beaches, over rocky headlands, past dramatic castles and through attractive coastal villages, the Northumberland Coast Path offers a constantly changing landscape which is a pleasure to explore.

Took to the beach from 6am to 6pm gorgeous and very long, plenty of room for everyone ! You’ll need to bring everything with you as there’s no shops anywhere here ! There is ice cream van at times ???? Great beach for kids with a gentle sloping sand towards the harbour, great walks along the beach all the way down to craster, brilliant place to spend your day ????

We had the pleasure of visiting earlier today and it was a huge hit with us all! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and can't thank Paul enough. We had a fantastic time and learned a lot, we were very sad to leave and can't wait to come back. Thank you again ????
