The Northern Territory (abbreviated as NT) is a federal Australian territory in the central and central northern regions of Australia. It shares borders with Western Australia to the west (129th meridian east), South Australia to the south (26th parallel south), and Queensland to the east (138th meridian east). To the north, the territory is bordered by the Timor Sea, the Arafura Sea and the Gulf of Carpentaria. Despite its large area—over 1,349,129 square kilometres (520,902 sq mi), making it the third largest Australian federal division—it is sparsely populated. The Northern Territory's population of 244,000 (2016) makes it the least populous of Australia's eight major states and territories, having fewer than half as many people as Tasmania.

Very fresh greens, fruits & veg. All grown locally, so there is a very tropical/asian feel to the produce. Prices vary from stall to stall as does variety. So walk around, see what's on offer & then decide which stall to buy which product from.

The Parap Markets are open every Saturday (rain, hail or shine) from 8am-2pm at Parap Village, just outside the Darwin CBD. There is a selection of local produce, arts and crafts, entertainment and local cuisine from around the world.
Great market for produce, craft and an amazing section of food/drinks. A mini Mindel market. While we took a local bus we did find out that a free shuttle bus operates from main accommodation places in the city. We caught this back .Enquire at your accommodation. We found an interesting grocery store ( would of walked past if door hadn't been open) a trip in time with an excellent little cellar in the corner, even had wine tasting day we were there! Well worth a visit.

The Todd Mall Market is a long established, not for profit outdoor market. It has been a popular venue for tourists and locals for over 20 years. The Markets are run solely by the Market Coordinator & the Todd Mall Market Committee which is made up of stallholders.
Enjoy the walk through the markets in Alice Springs. Some quirky things for sale but the people's fashions were more interesting. Great local produce.

This outdoor mall has something for everyone. There is a playground for kids, shops featuring everything from clothing to plush animals to hats. There is also some small coffee shops for food and drink. Great place to pick up last minute gifts.
