Bo Ze Wsi - project of the science club Enactus from University of Gdansk for the local communities and farmers. Bo Ze Wsi brings together a dozen of regional exhibitors who offer products from their farms and hand-made preserves. This is the main place in Gdynia for your fresh market shopping, and I find that Saturday mornings offer the best range and selection of local fresh fruit, veges, in season wild food (such as mushrooms, berries and herbs), fish, poultry, meat, honey, cheese and fresh-baked bread and cakes - well, everything! Best to go early, and have good look around all the stalls to compare produce and prices before filling your bag. TIP: some stalls use paper bags, but most still use single-use plastic bags, so if you want be #plasticfree go prepared. The building itself is also worth a look. Miejska Hala Targowa (the Municipal Market Halls) is also of historic significance as one of the best and few examples of Modernist Constructivism in Poland, built in 1935-1938 and designed by Jerzy Müller and Stefan Reychman. The parabolic arches of the largest hall (Hala Łukowa) are particularly distinctive. In addition, the basement rooms have been taken over for galleries and workshops by local artists.
