There is a ferry out to this very small island. (One can walk the perimeter in 15 - 20 minutes.) There are two swimming beaches, the best snorkeling is at the beach which is the farthest from the dock. I saw the greatest variety of fish very close to the shore here. I also saw the largest fish of anywhere on the island (and I hit every beach). There is a souvenir store here which is nice if you forgot sun block, but nothing unique was sold here. There is also a very nice, reasonably priced snack bar, and a buffet lunch if you want to make a day of it.

The road up to the top may be a tad intimidating for a mainlander but it is well worth it. The 360 degree view of the island is SO worth it. Just beautiful and inspiring to see the sparkling water surrounding this gorgeous island.

The hike will take 20-30 min so bring atleast 1liter of water. Better you go in low tide so the water is calm. Wear hiking shoes and gloves. Once you get there is a beautiful scenery. Just dont throw trash and dont leave it there.

American Memorial Park honors the American and Marianas people who gave their lives during the Marianas Campaign of World War II. 5,204 Names are inscribed on a memorial which was dedicated during the 50th Anniversary of the Invasion of Saipan. The Visitor Center is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday thru Sunday. Inside there is an exhibit hall that gives more information about Operation Forager, which includes the Battles of Saipan, Tinian, and the Philippine Sea. The exhibits are in English and Japanese. There are translation binders of the exhibits available in Chinese, Korean, and Russian. "An Island Called Saipan", the park's movie is available for viewing in the Visitor Center. As of Dec 2014, the movie is offered in five languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian. Pacific Historic Parks (PHP) book store within the Visitor Center has a wide selection of souvenirs available for purchase.
This U.S. National Park is open all year round and if you are stopping by Saipan, you must stop here to get your history grounded and get some real action look at historical artifacts. The bookstore is great and the locals use the beloved park for their walks, skateboards and other activities.

Really enjoyed hanging out on the beach. There were no crowds due to all of the travel advisories and the weather was perfect. I don’t know what it’s like during the high season but it was amazing for us.

Suicide Cliff is at the top of a stunning cliff and is one of the sites in Marpi Point National Historical landmark. The other sites include The Japanese Peace Memorial, The Korean Peace Memorial and Banzai Cliff. Most people (including me) stop first at Banzai Cliff, then the Peace Memorials and then make their way to the top of the cliff to see Suicide Cliff because that's the order they're situated along the road coming from Garapan. What I didn't understand until I was leaving Suicide Cliff and driving back down the road past the Memorials is that the Memorials are at the base of Suicide Cliff and then Banzai Cliff is not far away. When I was walking through the memorials I kept taking videos of the cliff wall because it really is a striking and beautiful sight to see those memorials nestled alongside the cliff. What I didn't yet know that I was taking videos from the bottom of suicide cliff. is So much memoriam one place. If you go to Saipan, take my advice and start this cluster of landmarks at the top of Suicide Cliff.
