Hillview Llamas

Introduction to llamas, llama husbandry, llama trekking for purposes of interest, education and enjoyment.

Had such a great day with Richard and the Llamas. He is very welcoming and accommodating. He introduced us to all the Llamas and gave us their background stories and explained each of their personalities, which added that extra touch to the experience. We then got to walk/trek with two of the Llamas, which was delightful. Richard has extensive knowledge of Llamas and it really shows from how he cares for them and talks about them.

We are a working farm, so we often have baby animals including lambs, goat kids, piglets and chicks to see too. During weekends and school holidays, we run small animal petting sessions at a cost of £1.50 per person and horse rides at a cost of £2.50 per person, we often have special events happening too.

Visited here last Wednesday and what a lovely easily accessible place. Admission £3 per adult and £2 per child. Feed tha animals, seed and feed 50p a good size bag. Spent £10 on admission and £2 on 4 bags of feed. Arrived at 10am and spent 5 hours here. Totally underpriced but certainly meets its idea of providing an affordable day for all. Children thoroughly enjoyed feeding the hens, sheep and goats and watching the pigs eat their buckets of juicy apples as well as playing in the little out door park and making music. Petting of small animals £1.50 per person, little animals including guinea pig, hen, rat etc all very friendly and held by everyone. Very organised and staff so helpful, thoughtful and encouraging to children who were nervous to hold animals. Horse ride £2 per person. Two staff members walked with rider. The young man walking with my 3 year old granddaughter couldn't have been more careful with her making sure she was safe. Toilets spotless. We didn't eat at cafe but food was well presented and looked tasty. Spending just a few days in Liverpool, this really was a lucky find and all in all a fantastic time spent, only tears spilt were when it was time to leave. Can't recommend Acorn Farm highly enough. Please don't change a thing.

Just returned from a brilliant day at the farm park Christmas Experience. I booked online about 6 weeks ago. Was there with my 3 year old, 9 year old and my husband. I did think it was quite expensive (which has put me off in the past to be honest) but after being today it is worth every penny. The girls loved having the passports to get stamped at different stations. The elves were all fab specially the lady elf taking the pics of people at the snow globe. There was so much to do! Meet santa (who was so friendly and lovely) choose a present, make some reindeer food to take home for christmas eve, write a letter to santa, the nativity, the panto and to top it all off the girls got to choose a bear to build. We then went into the play barn for some lunch and they played in there for a couple of hours. Would definitely recommend this event and will be back again next year.

Visited in August 2020. Straightforward online booking (although a bit lengthy) and cost £32 for a family of 4. We have two boys aged 12 and 5 so it's good to find somewhere that will interest both of them. Lots of attractions - Animal petting - Animal feeding - Go karts (indoors and outdoors) - Panel maze - Tractor rides - Pedal toy area - Outdoor play area (including trampolines, bouncy slide, climbing frame etc) And of course the maze! There is a mini maize, and the main one. The main one takes around an hour- make sure you have the map with you so you don't get lost. It was a bit muddy underfoot so make sure you have good walking shoes or wellies with a good grip. They have a flag system so if you have a genuine emergency an attendant will come find you to get you out. The indoor play area is closed due to covid at present. Plenty of hand washing stations all around. Reasonable amount of under cover tables to eat at. We bought 3 ice creams, a chocolate bar and a drink for around £8, which is pretty reasonable for a tourist attraction (loved the double jersey icecream!). It rained on and off for most of the time we were there, but there is plenty to do undercover without this being a major issue. Timed entry and a one way system with floor marking and signage to reinforce social distancing, and masks expected for all indoor areas. Not over booked so we were happy with the level of distancing throughout. We spent around 3-4 hours there, and possibly could have stayed longer. Thoroughly enjoyable day and will probably visit again next year when they have a new design for the maze.

Something new for the cafe to do a Sunday lunch. It was lovely. Plenty of food. The wait was a bit long but they were busy. They were still serving from the usual menu. There is a fantastic view from the upstairs. As always the horses are the highlight.
