Pittsburgh has been remade and reimagined. Think 24 miles of riverfront trails, beautiful parks and historic attractions. Home to 90 neighborhoods, the ‘Burgh feels authentic and unpretentious. No visit is complete without a trip to the Strip District or PNC Park, a ride up the Duquesne Incline or a stop at The Andy Warhol Museum. Architecture buffs love Pittsburgh for the amazing downtown buildings. Hollywood producers, do, too—the city has even been called the “Hollywood of the East."

Carnegie Museum of Natural History is the place for kids to discover science and the wonders of the natural world. Dig for bones in Bonehunters Quarry, get hands-on with real and replica specimens in Discovery Basecamp, grind corn in a Hopi home, and more. Dinosaurs are just the beginning! Free family-activities, touchables, and Bonehunters Quarry available each weekend and weekdays during the summer.
This was so much better than the others we’ve been to across the country! The dinosaur, Native American, Ancient Egypt, animal & architecture sections were amazing! Any kid would love this and adults will not be disappointed!

Great collection - well explained - friendly and informed staff all combine to make this a memorable visit. The Raymond Simboli painting, 'Allegheny-Ludlum Steel Mill" was a particular highlight

Oakland is home to many of Pittsburgh's gorgeous museums, and the Cathedral of Learning should definitely be included in any visit to the city. The nationality rooms are unlike anything I've ever seen, and this campus building is truly a unique gem that is worth exploring!

Oakland is one of Pittsburgh's best places for strolling around, and the University of Pittsburgh is the best of the best, with its gothic Cathedral of Learning and lovely flower beds and open green spaces. Wander inside the Cathedral and find the elevator that goes to the 43rd floor for a remarkable view of the green city all around it. You won't be disappointed.

A group of friends visiting Pittsburgh on vacation toured the Nationality Rooms on a Saturday afternoon. We chose a weekend day so we would not have to skip rooms that had classes. We were not aware that there are still new rooms being added, so we did not allow enough time to see all the rooms before closing time. We used the audio tour listening devices for the older rooms on the first floor. Newer rooms on the third floor have audio interpretation built into the room, so personal listening devices aren’t necessary. The rooms are beautiful and present whatever the specific country chose to represent in its room. Some examples were monasteries, classrooms, typical homes, etc. you could choose to just select a few rooms to visit or spend hours trying to see them all. This was a wonderful idea started by the University of Pittsburgh many years ago.

This chapel is a must see if you are in the University of Pittsburgh area. It’s very close to the campus. Please go on the days it is open because it’s beauty is breathtaking.
