Golf, sunbathing and fishing entice resort-minded vacationers to North Myrtle Beach, which hugs the South Carolina coast at the northern end of its famous Grand Strand strip. In the home of "the shag," the infectious 1930s dance that still swings through the local clubs, a family-friendly vibe prevails. Explore a nature trail filled with migratory birds, go for thrills at one of the local amusement parks or take in live theater. The mild subtropical climate means that outdoor activities are an option year-round.

The latest in video games and entertainment, LuLu’s Beach Arcade and Ropes Course is the perfect spot if you’re looking to take-on your friends in head-to-head competition and win name-brand prizes! If you are feeling brave enough afterward take on the Mountain of Youth ropes course!
We had a wonderful time at the video arcade and my daughter brought home some great prizes. The staff gave my daughter hints on how to play the wizard of oz game better and were very friendly.

Cindy was an amazing server for our tastings! She is a gem and made our day! Most wines are sweet but delicious! Our group bought a case of wine to bring home. They had great gifts and I'm loving my new hot pink t-shirt! Definitely will return next trip!!

We are a non-denominational, high adrenaline church serving the eastern Carolina's through our physical campuses in North Myrtle Beach, SC and Whiteville, NC, and serving the world through our online campus. Our mission is to be a culturally relevant church that is CHANGING LIVES THAT CHANGE THE WORLD by partnering with people to take their next step toward Christ and with Christ. We create environments for people to use their gifts, passions, and resources to advance the mission of God and live out their God given purpose. We believe every person was created for significance and can reach their full God Potential by being connected to the local church. Our vision is to establish 10 global Change Centers with 10,000 in attendance.
My husband and I arrived in N Myrtle in Oct 2019 to "snowbird" for the winter and seek a home to purchase. We drove past Barefoot Church on the way into Main St, so tried it the first Sunday we were in town. Great P & W, great sermon and very welcoming. We purchased a home 1/2 hour south of the church. We have tried several churches nearer our home, which has been difficult due to Covid. We haven't been able to find a church that we like as well as Barefoot, so we have returned to attending there on Sundays. If you are used to contemporary Christian music, a pastor who preaches God's word from the Bible, and a congregation that is friendly, who are community ministry minded - then you will enjoy this church during vacation or long term. Their 9AM service makes it very easy to attend church and get to the beach in the late am.

We vacation here a couple of times a year. It is a family friendly beach that is close enough to Myrtle Beach if you want more action.

The Windy Hill area is a nice quiet area, mainly residential. The beach isn't crazy busy but is nice and clean, very few shells and rocks. Public parking near by.
