To celebrate my daughter’s birthday, we made a reservation to go on a trail ride at Fairwinds. The kids had never ridden solo on a horse before. For our group of 5, we had 2 staff join us. The horses were gentle and appropriate for all of us (ages 8 to 13, plus adults.) They gave us a brief orientation on how to handle the reigns before we got started, and then we hit the trail. Everyone had a great time, and my daughter thought it was the perfect way to celebrate her pandemic birthday. Everyone wore masks until we were all up on the horses, which I was comfortable with. My husband even mentioned that it was such a great experience that it was worth giving them a good review. We definitely recommend taking a trail ride at Fairwinds!
