The Norseman Visitor Centre is the gateway centre to Western Australia and the Nullarbor. It is located just a few minutes from the intersection of the Eyre Highway and Highway 94 and is surrounded by a beautiful park with spacious parking, seating, toilets and free barbecue facilities. Our Centre has a wonderful selection of brochures covering all of Western Australia as well as local and general information to enhance the tourism experience of visitors to our region and the state.
The local lady on duty was very helpful with what we wanted, pointing out a few things to do that we hadn't considered. A vast array of information, not only for Norseman, but for other parts of WA.

Great road between Dundas Rocks and Norseman. 10 free camp sites very well spaced out. Site 9 great site. 2/3 vans can camp there. Nice granite outcrop walk.

We decided to follow the old mine trail - and it took us through remote and beautiful areas, and past the tailings dump rising up like a white-grey flat mountain. When we reached the lookout we saw the township, salt lakes etc, spread out below us. It was certainly a beautiful spot - a visit to Norseman should not go without a visit to this lookout. The makeshift lookout point itself had a rustic beauty with carved animals all round. It certainly stood out from a tourist angle. Parts of the road we travelled on was uneven, so it may not be suitable for rickety old vehicles. We managed with minimal wear and tear!
