Beautiful Long Point beach, but I came here to talk about the fish and chips. So, first, long point is beautiful. Just go, have a drive, walk the beach, do some fishing. What ever you like, it is a prestine, amazing spot to do it. Now, I really came her eto write a review for the Chip Ship food truck. Beautiful fish and chips set on the little canal with boats passing by. The staff are friends, the food is amazing and the setting is perfect. A must if you are in the area.

Lynn Valley Trail

Reviewed By Destination540106 - Centreville, Canada

We were in Port Dover for our rental but drove to Simcoe on the two weekends for a baseball tournament. The baseball diamonds the grandkids played on were wonderful, great bleacher seating, nice playground which bordered in this trail. I saw and spoke to several locals, and they very proudly spoke of the trail and how one individual said she rode to Brantford. We came across several bike riders in our way back and that is when I noticed the sign for the trails. I wish we had been able to spend more time before we had to go home. But if we get back there, would love to explore it more. Wonderful that we have such wonderful trails in this area. Makes me wonder what else we missed.

Long Point Bird Observatory

Reviewed By 442barbaraj - London, Canada

Long Point Bird Observatory or Bird Studies Canada is a great place to start your bird watching adventure in the Long Point area. The head office overlooks a marsh where a number of different birds can be seen each year, as well as the migrants who are passing through in the Spring and Fall. Hiking the well maintained trails takes you through different habitats, including a great view of Long Point Bay where geese, swans and numerous ducks can be seen. From here it's a short drive to Old Cut where you can observe bird banding at the banding lab and get close up photos of migratory song birds. Staff are friendly, well informed and both locations have a chalk board with postings of the regular and rare birds in the area.
