New Delhi is all at once chaotic and calm, a complicated city where cows often wander the shanty-lined streets. The 17th century Red Fort is a mass of domes and turrets, while Chandni Chowk is an exercise in friendly haggling. Jantar Mantar features larger-than-life sundials and astronomical instruments that are still used to predict the weather. Travelers and locals flock to the India Gate, the national monument of India that honors the soldiers who died in World War I and the Third Afghan War.

History is brought to life at this excellent museum, where artisans demonstrate traditional embroidery, weaving, carving and pottery.
You must visit this museum! Crafts Museum is a terrible name - the place is so much more than that. It gives a wonderful look at the culture, the architecture, the crafts and the artistry for centuries of people from all over India. They have a stage in the center of the property, often with free concerts or dance performances. The museum is a delightful oasis. There is so much to see there. They have a really good, very casual, inexpensive restaurant. (Try to walk in and make a reservation 15 minutes before you are ready to eat.) The museum also has a shop with a lot of very interesting things, including books, for sale. Don't miss this delightful, enlightening place!!!

See , we loved it. Went on a weekday, so it was, very easy to park the car, maneuver in the museum and see all the attractions. Given a few instruments are not working effectively but the rest was all good. There are lots of shows to see. We enjoyed the 3d show in dinosaurs. Loved the dinosaur display, mirror maze, energy balls display and the shows. See my photos for shows in the museum and the details of the museum layout.

Pretty ruins of a Fort, much nicer than the red fort and surprising peaceful. For us this was the top attraction in Delhi.

I wish to share my experience of Delhi Zoo. Good place to visit when the weather is pleasant. I went there with my 5 year old daughter and wife on Saturday 18th January, 2020. It opens in the morning at 0900 hrs till 1600 hrs... closed on Fridays. Car Parking charges is Rs. 50 Entrance fees Rs. 40 per adult. Entrance fees Rs. 20 per child of 5 years. There is a separate charges for still and video cameras. Golf carts are also available... Food not allowed inside, there are different counters inside which offers drinks like aerated beverages, juices, flavoured milk, tea and coffee etc
This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal and many other Mughal architecture and garden complexes in India.
As an architect I make it a point to visit historic sites and Humayuns Tomb lived upto all the drama of Mughal architecture.. light, shadows, arches, sandstone they were all there like a well orchestrated Karan Johar movie.. pl do visit.
