I have to say, I've been in Greece for just nearly two weeks and Nisyros, with Mike & Marilyn, is the friendliest place I visited. They both treated me immediately like family and make sure I was safe, always. Mike made sure I got the bike I was comfortable on, which was the quad. They also both gave me amazing tips on where to go... And where not to go. Definitely listen to all their advice and definitely only go on the one dirt road by the volcano. I got a little side tracked down the wrong dirt road (sorry again) and Mike came to my rescue. I will forever be grateful for his help. Thank you so much for treating me so well and taking care of me. I'll definitely be visiting again in the future. Thank you a million times over for the unforgettable experience. Take care, Emma

Brilliant tour booked through Harriet Tours. Great excursion, from being picked up from our hotel, ferry trip, coach to top of the volcano time to explore and then visited the small village on the island and had lunch. Nothing was rushed. Cafe at the top of the volcano if you don't wish to walk down inside the crater. Quite steep walking out. Lots of details about the volcano on the wall by the cafe. Photos do not do the crater justice as much bigger once inside. I would thoroughly recommend.

Stefanos Crater The Volcano

This place has it all. Salfuric pillars coming out of the ground, steam pipping up from several places, amazing scenery, a decent place to enjoy a cooling drink afterwards.

Church Museum of Nisyros/Panagia Spiliani

Reviewed By EileenMtShasta - Mount Shasta, United States

The Castle of the knights of St. John in Mandraki is built high on a rock at an altimeter of 150 meters. It took only 15 or 20 minutes to hike up there from the center of Mandraki town. Near the castle is the Monastery of Panagia Spiliani, which has two churches. It is a quick visit for a reasonable and nominal 2 Euro charge to support the museum. Inside, there are skirts hanging on a rack for ladies to wrap around their legs (if in shorts or bare), for respect. The interior is lavishly decorated with beautiful artwork and various cultural objects. Would definitely recommend a visit.
