Welcome! We are the largest and one of the oldest fishing charter companies on the Kenai Peninsula! We currently operate nine boats on the Kenai Peninsula out of Seward, Kenai River, Kasilof River, Homer and Ninilchik were our main office is located! We have four cabins on site, three RV parking spots, as well as fish processing and shipping options for you and your guests. We started our business 20+ years ago with one boat, we now fish about 70 people a day and have accommodation for 16 in our cabins. We look forward to making you part of the Ninilchik Charters Family this season! ~Ninilchik Charter Team
While our captain was very knowledgeable and friendly, the boat we were put on was not equipped with rod holders for halibut so we had to manage the rods without that support. Considering I had been reassured in advance that there would be plenty of help if I needed it as I have back condition, it made much more work out of catching the fish than it should have been. It was the first week of the season and we were told the boat we were supposed to go on wasn't working and so we got put on a different charter that was equipped well for the Salmon, but not for the Halibut. We did manage to catch our limit--one over 28 inches and one under, but I, would not recommend this charter company for Halibut fishing.

35 Years experience. We target trophy halibut. Come halibut & salmon fishing with Gotta Fish Charters in Ninilchik, Alaska. Located on the scenic Kenai Peninsula (4 hours south of Anchorage Gotta Fish Charters offers daily guided halibut and salmon fishing trips on the beautiful water of Cook Inlet, Alaska. Safe boats with experienced captains offering a fishing trip that's a once in a lifetime experience!
Capt (Nice) Al, as he referred to himself, was awesome. My wife, daughter, and I had never fished for halibut and weren't sure what to expect. What we got was a knowledgeable, funny captain that knows where the fish are and how to catch them even when they don't want to bite. He made sure we caught our limit and filleted them all. When my daughter caught a shark (her only goal going into the trip), Al encouraged her to feel its sandpaper-like skin and check out its spooky eyes. She was thrilled! We can't recommend Gotta Fish Charters enough!!!

We did not go inside the church. We took photos of the outside and looked at the view from the bluff. This is a lovely building in an amazing setting. It was rainy and foggy the day we were there so the view was limited but still interesting.

The crew did a great job of teaching the newbies about fishing for halibut. We all caught our limit.
Not only did we get the filets, but also the halibut cheeks....yum.
I would recommend that anyone interested in fishing Cook Inlet check the projected wind advisory....and try to fish on a day when the wind is light.

Mike and Tim were our Captain and deckhand - they were very friendly, professional and experienced. The charter itself only took less than 30 minutes to get to the area where we caught our Halibut - much less than competitor charter companies. They do all of their fish processing onsite including filleting, vacuum-sealing and freezing if you are staying overnight at the camping ground.
We had an awesome time and added 3x nights accommodation onto our charter - the room was clean and very comfortable and the staff were nothing but helpful.
Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

The BEST charter crew I ever met. Originally planned on charter for Monday and then try different company later in the week. ..ended up going out three times with same charter. Captains Jim and Drew were excellent. Dillon and "Buckets" were awesome deck hands. My 12 y/o daughter had the time of her life. She embarrassed me with how many fish she landed. Not only were they friendly, accommodating, and skilled, but also reasonably priced. It takes a lot to get me to repeat a charter but these folks "hooked me", and I will be back.

My wife and I wanted a good charter to go after some big Halibut. There are several kinds of charters in Ninilchik for Halibut. You have boats that go out 10 miles or so so that you can catch a couple small (8-15 lb) halibut and then you have some companies that will take you out into the Cook Inlet 30 to 40 miles and get into some big fish. Recently went two days with Reel 'em in. The first day was five star and Al from Michigan was not only a guide but a teacher about the complexities of the tide and found us some really nice fish of over 50 lbs. excellent equipment with a new boat and fishing rods, he did have a mate, Adam that really supported the fishermen, the second day was 4 star as Al from Alaska, a long time fisherman was working by himself without a mate and worked hard. He just wasnt able to put us into the large fish and we ended up with 20-30 lb fish. I really didn't like his equipment as well either as the line had repairs in them that were obvious and didn't give you a good feeling that if you hooked into a large fish that it would make it in. Overall, Art the new owner of this company has one of the better companies that charter out of this area. They will help you catch the fish, fleet the fish, freeze them and overnight them too you if you need that service.

Been going out with Discover Alaskan Adventures since 2011 and they have always been awesome and amazing. This year was a bit different since Linda sold the business to Drew and Chris, but they are keeping with the great service provided and Linda is still on board to keep them straight! Both Drew and Chris will stay out on the water as long as it takes (safely of course) to not only get the boat limit but to get you the biggest fish if at all possible. Linda is so accommodating to all the guests and makes it easy with processing. And Katie is so upbeat that she makes everyone smile! Kudos to these guys and always enjoy fishing with them!

Alaska Fishing at it Best! We offer halibut, salmon and multi species saltwater charters and Kenai River salmon charters! May thru August
We've been fishing with the Key-O's for over twenty years. We've watched Hunter and Levi grow into their own captainships. Good times, even if the fish aren't biting. Mary will process your fish (vacuum seal and freeze) for a reasonable rate (and the seals never break).
Heading South, look for their red and black sign on the left side of the highway. There is room for one small motorhome to park, while you book your trip. Then on the day of fishing, you will meet them at the boat launch.

Spent one day with Doug at Chihuly's. Never fished for halibut before but have fished in charter boats in the Pacific and Atlantic many times. The way I grade off shore fishing is how many times you have to move to find fish. With Doug we anchored, never moved and caught our limit of 2 fish each. Was in a party of 3 and brought back 50 pounds of fillet steaks. Doug is a great guide and individual. On the way out and in we asked many questions about Alaska, Ninilchik, how he spent the winters, etc., etc. Got back in a "driving rainstorm". Doug got right to work filleting the halibut. Never rushed, did an excellent job. Highly recommend using Chihuly's and Doug in particular!!!
