This is our favourite bike ride each year, from Niagara-On-The-Lake to The Falls and back!! Either Spring of Fall - during the week is best to avoid the crowds, cut off the The Parkway at the Helicopter Rides (stop lights) and ride through the town of Niagara Falls to Clifton Hill, then back down to the river (much safer!!). About 52km round trip... pack a lunch & enjoy the Falls!!

Canadian, and internationally acclaimed, artist Edward Spera's creations are inspired from his travels across the globe. Numerous research trips have taken him across Africa, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, China, Tibet, North, South & Central America and now into the oceans of the world. His latest journeys were concentrated in Kenya/Rwanda (Aug/Sept 2013), India/Bhutan (Mar 2014) and South Dakota (June 2014). From these adventures he takes moments of time captured by camera and turns them into detailed wonders of art. By doing so, Edward hopes to convey to the viewer the incredible beauty of the creatures that share this world with us.
A self taught artist of exceptional and unique talent. Paintings are from his photography as he travels the world and captures the personalities of a wide assortment of wildlife... in amazing detail. Original paintings but mostly canvas reprints that are exact matches, available in various sizes. Artist produces his work there and you can watch when he is painting...each original takes weeks of work.

Bright, bold and beautiful paintings await your arrival in a charming lakeside setting. You are invited by appointment to enjoy Irene's work in watercolour, paintings on silk and fine art giclée. Artist's cards and custom prints are available. Please call ahead!
Just visited Irene's gallery over the weekend. Her artwork is absolutely beautiful! We were looking for a larger size painting with vibrant and bold colors and that is exactly what we found. She is able to customize the size in addition to framing the artwork at very reasonable prices. Now the difficult choice is which one to buy! For those of you in Toronto, a sample of her work can be found at the Green Eggplant restaurant in the beaches.

As of April 3rd, the winery will be open for purchases only. Please visit our website for online orders!
We attended an ice wine festival in NOTL and so loved The Hare Cabernet Franc ice wine that we drove to the winery to purchase a bottle. So glad we did. From the nicely appointed buildings; the open spacious tasting room, and the super friendly and knowledgeable staff( thank you Andrea) we had a great time and ended up adding a few more bottles to our purchase( an easy drinking Jack Rabbit Rose and Frontier Pinot Grigio). We look forward to visiting again!

Brock's Monument National Historic Site towers over picturesque Queenston Heights, Ontario. The monument measures 56 metres (185 feet) in height and is the largest monument of its kind in Canada. Situated on the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights where British and American soldiers struggled for the destiny of two nations, Brock's Monument is the final resting place of Major General Sir Isaac Brock and his Aide-de-Camp Lieutenant Colonel John Macdonell.
Larger than life, this Monument to General Brock is set in the middle of beautiful Queenstown Heights Park. Staff dressed in period costumes greet you at the entrance. You can climb to the top if you dare! We'll worth a visit.

We loved our visit. The most welcoming lovely people who know their wines. We enjoyed the wine tasting, then enjoyed the best charcuterie board with a glass of our favourite wine. In the sunshine Maria took us on a walking wine tour telling us the history of the estate and family, whilst sipping wine. A perfect place to visit.

I was there a few weekends ago with my husband and absolutely loved the quality of the product, touring the vineyard, and the staff. Of particular mention, Kristin was extremely Knowledgeable with her tour, and made wine tasting so much fun! In Italy we had the pleasure of touring beautiful vineyards with their sommelier and this experience in Niagara was just as wonderful. Thank you! We will arrange a tour again next season. Please thank your staff for us!

We love visiting Niagara for the wineries & the fantastic places to dine. It was our first visit to Caroline but there will be certainly be many more! Lunch was amazing! My husband raved about his grilled cheese with bacon & we both enjoyed the delicious homemade fries. I had the ancho shrimp salad bowl. O.M.G. That was the best salad I have ever had! And I eat salads every day for lunch. The shrimp was so flavourful & perfectly cooked. It paired well with the aioli. The salad was dressed in a tasty vinagrette with quinoa to make it more filling. It was AMAZING! And I have to have it again. I can't wait! The winery was bustling with tour groups, so we had to wait a few minutes for a place at the bar. The tasting flight was complimentary, which is rare these days! We especially enjoyed the riesling & pinot grigio, which were both reasonably priced & delicious! I look forward to enjoying them again at home. We will be back on our next trip to Niagara! And you should go too.
