Once a destination for honeymoons and family vacations, Niagara Falls has really stepped it up as an action-packed vacation spot. The falls are literally the biggest draw – watching the frothy water tumble at alarming speeds can be mesmerizing. Throw on a poncho and hop aboard the Maid of the Mist to cruise close enough to the falls to be drenched by spray. Hit the main strip of Clifton Hill for flashy tourist attractions and restaurants galore.

Three magnificent falls, two American and one Canadian, mark the point at which the Niagara River rumbles over the Niagara Escarpment.
If you love nature, mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, canyons and all the majesty that is a natural wonder you can only be the perfect person to visit this site. If you are not a lover you will still be in awe of this site.

We went in the cold of winter, and thanks to jet lag were there really early to watch the beautiful sunrise over the falls. It was a magical, quiet morning, with great views and we really enjoyed our time at the falls - the sheer power of the water is something else! Another place ticked off the list, excellent!

If you plan to visit Niagara Falls, and see what both sides (US and Canada) has to offer or really plan to do activities on both side, then crossing the Rainbow bridge is the way to go. My friend and I traveled, backpack in tow, and crossed the Rainbow bridge on foot. Immigration on both sides await on each end prior to entry or reentry. It was a easy 22-25mins walk, maybe longer is your pace is slow and/or you take moments to view the falls from the bridge and strike a pose for photos. After getting in the Canadian side, literally I saw rainbow formed by the bridge.

Amusement, entertainment and restaurant neighborhood located in view of Niagara Falls.
There's so much to do here! We got the Fun Pass, and it was definitely worth it: the Skywheel, mini golf, two ride adventures, the wax museum and the Zombie Invasion, which was by far the best! You will not regret coming here if you're looking for arcade and tourist-y fun!

This is a up close look at the falls through the tunnels dug into the rocky Canadian side of the falls. You can view the falls from a open deck and then from two vantage points through openings on the rocky side behind the falls. The thundering sound of the gallons and gallons of water falling is a very unique and humbling experience.

We were here during Canada's 150th Birthday Celebration and 4th of July in the U.S. From the observation deck, we could see the fireworks from both sides of Niagara Falls, along with a spectacular view of the Falls lit up at night.
