We went as a group of kids and adults, both family and friends, and everyone had a great time! Plus we had a great piece of art at the end, which my kids hung in their rooms. Highly recommend!

Puzzle Break

You are trapped in a room. As you look around you start to notice strange objects and messages - or are they clues? - hidden around the room. Can you and your team solve the puzzles, decode the locks, and escape within one hour?

Reviewed By dolphingrid612 - Boston, United States

just kidding, we escaped... but not in the hour time frame. Went to this lovely establishment in Newton for a work team-bonding outing and it was A BLAST. half of us went to the Grimm Escape, and my half was in the Midnight Carnival. I really appreciated that even though there is no clue limit from the Clue Masters, they still make it tough and make you really use them brain cells. Have gone before with friends, and now having gone with work colleagues, I am convinced there is no occasion that Puzzle Break isn't well-suited for! Go GO GO!!!

Showcase Super Lux Movie Theater

I had a plan with my kids for a movie marathon day that started off all wrong.... started late... wrong movie... etc. I had bought my tickets from the desk with live people and had had positive interactions from the get go. Reggie in particular was hilarious and dubbed 'superman'. When the staff realized what went wrong they all spring into action and corrected the problem gracefully and appropriately. Sitting in those Lux seats with drinks food and popcorn is a true treat and for my family worth the dollars for the experience in particular because management owned when things were sub par. I plan to take my crew of 7 back this weekend and while this involves definite financial planning our xmas gifts are an experience versus a thing. Super Lux is that.

West Newton Cinema

Classic old style movie house with great selections and multiple time options and a family owned business feel. Yes, it's an old building but has charm the big boxes do not and it's respected and appreciated by those of us who remember this type of theater. Wishing it the best as it makes it's way through tough times and reviews by people who do not "get it".
