I have stopped to take a look sometimes a take pictures.
This is one of the largest cathederals on the East coast, from what I have read about it.
There are nice Italian restaurants and bakeries nearby. This was once a major Italian neighborhood at one time.

This is a museum where you need several hours to really see everything and they close at 4 pm. so plan accordingly. We ran out of time. You can see Edison's workshop, library, stock room along with multiple other things - like the first movie production site, a display of the original phonograph (that still works) and so much more that it is hard to remember it all. We plan to return again when we can go and view his home in nearby Montclair in warm weather - opens in April.

I come here often to take photos of Manhattan and the 9-11 memorial. The park has a nice paved path along the waterfront with great views of Ellis Island and the Statue of liberty. There is also a historic rail station here, which is where you can buy tickets for the Statue of liberty ferry.

This place was huge! We spent 6 hours shopping and probably saw a quarter of what was in the center. There's some brilliant outlets offering great deals that makes it well worth a trip. Many people (us included) brought a suitcase and started filling it to save us carting our many many shopping bags around. The centre is spacious with a large food court and lots of variety.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center hall is an acoustic and architectural gem - the perfect place to experience Mozart’s final, moving masterpiece. Conductor Xian Zhang’s infectious enthusiasm animated the musicians. A full chorus - the Montclair State University Singers - made for a riveting, emotional musical journey. Bravo!

This is a place that commands silence and reflection, beautifully executed with a view on the WTC and Manhattan. I’ve been to many war memorials in Europe and this monument tragically reminds me about all of them, although the victims here were not soldiers, just ordinary people like you and me.

We were a group of 14 and had a tour of the Ballantine House and Museum. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. The house was built by the beer brewing family and contains overwhelming memorabilia, paintings and much more of the Victorian Era. The woodwork alone is amazing. ait is truly a gem. The museum is beautifully laid out and contains some rare pieces. The Buddhist altar is very colorful with much detail. Our docent gave us an excellent tour of both the Ballantine House and the museum.
