We were walking around Newark and came across this church. It's not as spectacular as the Cathedral Basilica just a few blocks away, but this is still a gem worth seeing if you enjoy old churches and architecture!

First introduce to Jimenez Cigars from their stand inside the Prudential Center during Devils games. Always liked their cigars so I decided to go for the short walk from the "Rock" to Jimenez. They are located in a quaint little building with a private outside courtyard. Cigar production and store is on the lower level, the lounge/bar area is on the second floor. A lovely cigar "ambassador" will take your coat and show you to a comfy seat. A professional mixologist (IE very talented) will prepare a premium cocktail from their top shelf bar.

At the center of the historic & once grand Newark downtown the first class museum with striking exhibit space offers insights into both the old & resurgent city. Adjacent to the elegant Ballantine mansion, overflowing with silver & handsome furnishings, the eclectic collection contains masterpieces from the 19th century & Hudson River School, Corning & Steuben glass, jewelry & modern crafts as well. Although we ran out of time, on our next visit - with discounts for seniors - we look forward to exploring the 20th century art.
