New York State has it all – booming metropolises, majestic waterfalls, mountains, wine country, chicken wings. Yes, NYC is a magnet for tourists, but an exploration of the rest of the state can be equally thrilling. The Finger Lakes Wine Region is a vision of serene waters, quaint B&Bs, and pretty vineyards. Movie buffs will love Rochester, home of the George Eastman House and one of the world’s most comprehensive film archives. On your way to Niagara Falls, stop in Buffalo to fuel up on spicy wings.

Kings County Distillery is New York City's premier craft distillery and among the most acclaimed small distilleries in the United States. Focused exclusively on whiskeys, Kings County has made a name for its bourbon, peated bourbon, rye and other creative whiskeys. We only distill whiskey for our label and we never sell whiskey made from any other source.
Came here on a night where the wife went to Broadway instead. Had a great time - small tour of 5 people and Lisa, the guide, was great - told us so many interesting and intriguing things about prohibition, the history of distilling whiskey in New York and the science of it - very cool. Oh and did I mention the liqour? We got to sample several different kind they make and I highly recommend the peated varieties! Try them out and then definitely stay for another drink in the bar - Dmitrious was great and he makes some awesome cocktails with their whiskey!

Our kids are in their 20s we decided to take their father to 1911 What a great place to go We went to tasting room and sampled the hard cider gin and vodka. Very inexpensive for time the bartender spent w us. Great flavors to try and enjoyable. Then went to the tavern for lunch unexpected surprise food was hot and delicious not only the food was good but excellent drinks to choose from as well. They have musicians playing and I guess they had a concert there last night. As we're sitting there. 2 of their sponsored stock cars pull up. we had to check them out as well Quick stop in the general store for homemade fudge n doughnuts. We walked out happy n enjoying the view. Find this place and go. You won't be disappointed

Came with three other Brooklynites. The tour does not cover a lot of physical space, but our tour guide Kevin was amazing, and the information he offered was absolutely fascinating. Learned a lot of very interesting history of the spirits and of NYC itself. One of the most informative distillery tours I've ever been on. Of course the tasting was awesome, and Kevin's perspective as a seasoned bartender was such an added bonus. Kevin really made the tour. Afterwards, really enjoyed the cocktails at the bar. We all left with multiple bottles. I highly recommend.

This place is great. The people are so friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. The young man who helped us thoroughly provided us with information about the different types liquors, their sources, and even where to eat in the neighborhood. It was such an enjoyable afternoon. It is off the beaten path so if you aren’t paying attention you will miss it. The apple moonshine is sooo good You will want to take a case home.

A Craft Distillery with a beautiful co-located Tasting Room that features In-house distilled spirits as well as craft wines and beers from local brewers and wineries. Local artists are also on display, as well as local farm to market products such as NY State cheeses, jams, honey, maple syrup, etc..
My husband and I drove past this and thought, hmm, maybe we should stop? We are glad we did! Because of Covid, things were a little different but the staff was so friendly and accommodating. You can do liquor tastings or flights if you take them outside on the deck, and the bourbon was wonderful (says my husband) - he even bought a bottle to take home. They also have a huge assortment of slushies that you can add your choice of liquor too, so good and refreshing on a hot day. Very affordable as well, nice deck to sit on and watch people in the town. You can bring your own food if you'd like. I would definitely stop here if you're in Alex Bay or nearby.
