Laissez les bons temps rouler! In New Orleans the good times are perpetually rolling down Bourbon Street, which, thanks to the city’s annual Mardi Gras celebration, has quite a party animal reputation. Once you’ve soaked up the scenery of the historic French Quarter, tour the elegant Garden District and meet the colorful characters of Frenchmen Street. Experience the city's supernatural vibe at the Voodoo Museum or by taking a guided ghost or vampire tour through taverns, alleyways, and cemeteries.

First Gallery In the World for Fine Art Bodypainting! In the heart of The French Quarter in New Orleans. A Must See while visiting the city!
Craig is an amazing artist and a really nice guy to boot. We stumbled across this gallery and went in to check it out only to realize we actually already knew his artwork. My husband had seen many articles done on him in airbrush action mag and I knew him from watching Skin Wars (he was a judge) and we both have seen his work on the internet. It was a wonderful experience to get to meet him and we actually got to see him paint live in the galleries which he only does twice a year! His brother Philip runs the gallery and was also a lot of fun to hang out and talk with. We ended up purchasing 3 of his amazing pieces of art and cant wait to figure out where we are going to hang them.

A popular, prayerful pilgrimage site to a saintly favorite known as the "Cheerful Ascetic". This Redemptorist priest possessed great mystical gifts due to his intense prayer life. Many miracles are attributed to Father Seelos' intercession both during his life and after his death in the 1867 New Orleans yellow fever epidemic.
It's great to visit sites connected with holy men and women who have gone before us. The museum and shrine communicate well the life of Bl. Francis Xavier Seelos. Spent about an hour there. Make sure to visit the church and pray before his tomb.

Fun area with street painters, musicians and jugglers.
Jackson Square is a beautiful little area filled with local artists, music, gorgeous flowering plants (these are inside the gated area), horse-drawn carriages, and tons of opportunities to people watch. A definite must-see when visiting New Orleans.

New Orleans' Preservation Hall was established in 1961 to honor one of America's truest art forms - Traditional New Orleans Jazz. Operating as a music venue, a touring band, and a non-profit organization, Preservation Hall continues its mission today as a cornerstone of New Orleans music and culture. Situated in the heart of the French Quarter on St. Peter Street, the Preservation Hall venue presents intimate, acoustic New Orleans Jazz concerts over 350 nights a year featuring ensembles from a current collective of 100+ local master practitioners. On any given night, audiences bear joyful witness to the evolution of this venerable and living tradition.
Preservation Hall was a lot smaller and more intimate than I had envisioned, but it was perfect, and we loved our experience. We booked tickets ahead of time, which was fortunate since the line of people waiting to get in was extraordinarily long, and those without reservations who were able to buy on-site tickets had to sit on the floor or stand at the back. We sat on a bench at the front; the wooden benches are probably original, hard and unpadded (for those with bad backs). Surprisingly, there are no bathrooms inside; they send people to the bar next door. You can bring food and drinks inside. The musicians are gifted, funny, and engaging. The whole experience was memory-making. So glad we booked this piece of historic New Orleans.

Voodoo Authentica of New Orleans Cultural Center and Collections is not only a shop, but also a temple and educational space. Everyone working here is a practitioner of Voodoo, and everything in the shop (save the African and Haitian art pieces) are made by local practitioners, much of it actually being made right in the shop. If you have any questions, or even need a bit of spiritual guidance, any of our practitioners can help you out. If you're looking for a reading, stop on in or call, and one of our Priests will give you a spiritual consultation. If you're just genuinely interested in Voodoo and in need of more information, want to see some traditional dolls and spiritual products, or just need some advice on good places to eat, please stop on in! We'd love to see you here!
Nothing short of amazing. Zaar did my tarot card reading and quite literally brought me to tears. I gave him zero information to go off of and he nailed it. Hours later and I’m still in awe of the reading
