With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

Great trail riding experience. We were both experienced riders and Harold accommodated us very well. The horses were in good shape, and Harold was a knowledgeable trail guide. We would definitely come back to Broken Saddle.

One hour guided horseback rides for the whole family! Please call for prices and reservations.
Our family of five visited Grindstone Stables and had a great time. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They pair you with the perfect horse for your riding experience which was ideal for my grandchildren. The route up the mountain was so scenic and beautiful. The tour guides were funny, knowledgeable, and made this an amazing experience. I will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in NM.

Melissa is a fantastic person and guide! My girlfriend fell in love with horseback riding in Taos over a decade ago, and Melissa made her return to the area an incredible experience. We couldn't have been happier with the entire experience, from the ride, to the gemological and geographical details, to the photo opportunities and sweet horses. We can't recommend this stable highly enough!

Our private ride to the top of Trechas Peak and riding in the Rio Grande are memories that will last our lifetime. Chance and Jessica and all the horses made our ride perfect. If we are ever back - you’ll see us again. Thanks for sharing your stables with us.

Our family had a wonderful time with Joaquin, Kelly and the horses on a recent trip to New Mexico. Joaquin was enthusiastic, informative and passionate about his horses and the area in and surrounding Santa Fe. He took us on an absolutely beautiful two hour ride and made certain to take individual and group photos, which are great keepsakes. The horses were patient, well-mannered and endearing. We were all sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the ride. We will definitely take another ride the next time we are in the area!
