With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

We have lived in NM for 30 years! Heard about this Farmers Mkt space years ago and finally visited before the season closed. It is a treasure of local produce, honey, pastries, TORTILLAS and arts and crafts with a sprinkle of food trucks that also do just beverages. Did I say Tortillas? YES! The best BLUE CORN. I bought 1 pk and returned the following to buy the rest to freeze. I tested them and they freeze well to hold me over until the Market opens up again for the season. The local honey we bought was amazing, it was from a Socorro farm. The radishes I bought did not hold up well after a few days. I did not have breakfast prior to arriving so I ate some fresh peaches as I shopped. I ate a asian type stir fry that was freshly prepared as I stood there & great! It was a huge portion my husband and I shared it. It was reasonably priced. The rest of the market can be a bit expensive like a couple dollars for a cookie, I know how to make cookie from scratch so I found it a bit crazy. It is held mostly indoors which is great but can also get cold if the sun is not out or wind is blowing so wear layers. Market opens up for a Holiday Bazaar mid December. I will be back!

I try to attend farmer's markets in all of my travels, but my favorite is the Taos Farmer's Market. Great produce, bread and pastries, honey, herbs, beauty products, flowers, the list goes on and on. Excellent live music and a puppet show for the kids! I must disagree with the reviewer who thinks talking between vendors and customers is "Taos Manners" in a negative way. This is a community experience, and one of the highlights is the interaction between people of all ages who attend. If you want to avoid talking to people, perhaps you should have your food delivered by Amazon.
Local, state and regional raw honey. We also carry artisan crafted natural hand creams, lipbalm, candles, hoof cream that isn't just for you horses and other beeswax products.
