Ride along the same route that carried President Lincoln from Washington, DC to Gettysburg, PA, where he delivered one of the greatest speeches in American History! Northern Central Railway is an excursion railroad that makes time travel possible! It’s an authentic experience where you can meet presidents and generals, experience the Wild West, enjoy the spirit of the season any time of year and literally ride along the very rails that helped build and save our nation. It’s a breathtaking journey through gorgeous countryside that brings out the child in all of us.
The Northern Central Railway takes you on a wonderful trip through the southern York County countryside. Along the way we learned about the history of the area including 500 million year old rocks! This is the line that carried President Lincoln to Gettysburg for his most famous speech. The staff was great and the gentleman giving us the history along the way did an exceptional job. So if you want a ride on a beautiful and authentic old train, and want to learn history and enjoy the beauty of the area along the way, this is a perfect way to do it. I can't wait to do it again! Maybe on the Santa Express or the Tannenbaum Christmas Tree Train!!
