Great little shops to stroll thru: a framers market and then a bakery/snadwich type place and we went on a Saturday AM and they had a duo performing as well. What's not to like

We invite you find out about exclusive shopping, dining and events in downtown Burlington as well as to explore the area!
We spent the morning and afternoon just strolling the whole marketplace, window-shopping and and actually making some purchases. All kinds of shops-men’s store, women’s shops and boutiques, souvenirs and plenty more. The market place was a safe stroll with no actual traffic to worry about. Plenty of places to stop in and get a bite to eat or have a drink. It was nicely decorated for the holidays although while we were there it was to early to see the full affect of the lights. If you are in the area it is definitely a cool thing to do even if you don’t shop and just people watch.

During daylight hours on Fridays and Saturdays, the Haymarket on Hanover Street, near Boston's North End, is rich with culture and bargains. Visitors who stroll through the crowded alley can spend very little and come home with a full load of fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood sold by local vendors.
Come and bundled up so you could walk around stall by stall. Wear hats, gloves, and walkable shoes. Ohh, bring your reusable shopping bags too. There are tents and tents of fruits, veggies, and more. Meat and fish too. One particular and honorary mention is the Harry’s cheese and cold cut. You can’t miss it as it is the only one in the market. The shop/stall has been around for 40 some years. A variety of cheeses, cold cuts and olives. Both staff are most attentive, funny, and hospitable. They advise you to try, and ways to enjoy the antipasto. The shopping experience was fun, and we haggled like long lost friends. Love it!

There was an amazing variety of food vendors and farmers. There were handmade goods such as alpaca products, jewelry vendors, ethnic foods, cider donuts and pastries and coffee. There were numerous picnic tables set in the center, recycling and garbage cans readily available. Also a composting out house as well as Porta potty‘s. It was a great atmosphere and a great day. If you like farmers markets this was the bomb!
