Loyalist House is perhaps the finest example of architecture and furniture from the late 1700s in Canada. I've visited there 4 times over the past 10 years and each time I find it excellent. Rare period furniture from the American Revolution that was owned by United Empire Loyalists. The building is very well preserved and representative of early colonial times in the Atlantic region. I found the staff to be very knowledgable and helpful and the handy written scripted guide I was provided with was very useful. This house/museum is a hidden gem and I definitely recommend it to students of our early history.

There are two types of people in this world - some will no doubt see this area as run down shacks with no paint and old fishing gear piled up everywhere - others (like us) will spend hours here photographing every angle of these buildings, catching the reflection of the stilts and boats in the water. We found it magical! Bring your camera!!!
One of the only known pedestrian tunnels that goes under live railway tracks, in Canada. Constructed in 1929, the lighted and maintained tunnel is a local landmark.
St. Luke's Anglican Church, Parish of Portland is an historic church in Saint John, New Brunswick. Worship in the parish dates back to 1769 and the current building to 1875. The building is beautiful, and offers a glimpse into history. The current congregation is diverse and vibrant. Visitors are welcome to attend worship on Sundays at 10:30am (10am in July in August).
